Well we have to agree on some rules. Certainly all battles between players should be autoresolved. Should we allow players to play their own battles against the AI?

In laymans terms:

You will recieve some files from Ultra War, install them.

When it's your turn, you will recieve a file by email: Quicksave.sav, copy this file to C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\saves

Run rome and load this save game. Then you must run a script, this is done by these simple steps:
Press F1
Click the question mark (?) button on the top right of the scroll which appears, the advisor will appear giving you advice etc, ignore the advice and press the "Show me How" button.

Then you just play your turn as you would like, press end turn. The game will save and lock when it comes to the next player. Quit and send on the Quicksave.sav file.

ok, i guess ill stay in then. I will probably be back on the 15th, then i can start.

They patch the same thing for RTW, 1.6 just patches Barbarian Invasion as well.

I think what kburket means is that UltraWar had a problem re-arranging the faction turn order in 1.5

Ultrawar, you need to edit your original post to show who is playing what faction etc.

Yes. The script affects nothing at all unless you run it - and you'll only run it in this campaign

Ultrawar, you need to edit your original post to show who is playing what faction etc.

i've started the turn off as Macedon... and after that move. the faction selection screwed up!

It went haywire and i tried to load the quick save... but when it came up, it went to the faction loading screen but the faction symbol was a blank box and also it CTD.

I think the only alternative is use vanilla... i am sorry if this is a inconvinice

Would anybody like a "skip turn" script. So that if for some reason you can't play one time, or if someone doesn't play quickly, we can force the AI to play for them?

Sounds good. I don't like to seem stubborn or anything like that but if you play 1.0 I'll have to withdraw. I have no idea where RTW Disc 3 has gone for a start, and secondly I really don't fancy a reinstall. So yeah, please try to decide what version you'll be using quickly so I know if I'm in or out :)

In which case I would like to replace kburkert as Greek Cities, probably would have been my first choice thinking about it.

Ok, thanks alot. I will be gone until the 12th, but then Myrddraal said that you could jump on after it had started, that is what i plan to do. So i am here to stay and would like to be pontus.

Whats happening about difficulty levels?

IMO as we're autoresolving battles they should stay on normal dificulty.

Then hard campaign?
