The character, though voiced by the great James Earl Jones, is white.I beg to differ:
Oh, yeah, and LOTR is so much better than any group of star wars movies.

Gandalf is so lame, he couldn't complete his mission the first time, he had to come back to life through some dumbass unexplained loophole..

You should read both Lord of the Rings as "De Silmarillion". Things will become clear.Originally Posted by Craterus

I started to read LotR, but it's very badly written and incredibly slow-starting so I gave up before long...

No offense... everyone is entitled to their own tastes... but seriously, dude, what are you on? LotR is one of the great fantasy tales of all time. I'm not making this up; it's considered by many to be a great literary work, a true classic, and for good reason.
I personally don't care much for the Iliad, but I'm not about to start calling it a bad piece of art. It has great artistic value, whether I happen to love it or not.
Star Wars is a cinematic masterpiece of sorts (except for episodes I-III). It had a powerful impact on subsequent works and told an excellent story that impacted audiences. That makes it great art.
I wonder what your reading tastes consider good...

I'm not getting at the plot. It's a fantastic story.
However, Tolkien was a rune professor (or something of the sort). He was by no means whatsoever a renowned writer. He forgets characters for entire chapters while he explores other parts of the story. It seems that he just got into the story a bit too much at points and forgot to cover some important details in other sub-plots.
This information may appear flawed because I haven't read the books, but upon asking people that have, they mentioned this "problem".
EDIT: I'd just like to clarify that I don't hate the story/trilogy. I just found it very hard to engage with.
Need just one more..

lol!
I see one problem.. Gandalf has 161 points.. but at the start everyone had 5. so gandalf should have something that ends with a five or a 0.. not a 1..
Anyway... Huzzah!!! Victory for gandalf!

I think most of that happened as a result of changing +1/-1 to +5/-5. That meant that points could occasionally be created out of thin air, like so:Originally Posted by Drisos

Note that the total points in the initial and final states differ: 12 at the beginning, 14 at the end.

Damn. Came back to slow. Just in time to see Vader lose. At least the stupid black knight didn't win. What is it with the English? Those wacky brits have the dryest sense of humor.
