Correction to something I said earlier in the thread

That other tread was from people who wanted to continue with this mod (with some other people and some who stayed the game). They got some quarrel with fans who only wanted the older (this) version. In any case, you have to look on https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?133969.

at the moment when everybody else is busy with another mods (notably EBNOM)

Well, the first leader has been idle since '08.

Many other members have moved on to various mods.

One of the latest leaders (svramj) has decided to help me.

I modified the concept since there were some things that I didn't think were necesary IMO (i.e. Makedonia and Kyrene; for starters).

And I started from scratch because that way I could complete my idea and also, if people wanted it. We could port the old incomplete data and complete it with ours (or create the necesary files if needed) and we could give it to the old AtB community.

But people got angry that it wasn't the same and things started to happen. We decided to leave the EB subforums because the moderating was local. And we thought that possibly if we had our own subforum or at least a thread in the forge (which was moderated by (until his untimely demise; R.I.P.) TosaInu). Also we had gotten sort of a taboo with using the old AtB data (thing that we never did) with our own mod.

So, old AtB could have been alive when we had finished the new one and whatever changes needed.

Perquisites of live; I guess.

I'd personally go for old, but thats only because I followed it for so long. never read about your threads or idea's so honestly have no idea what happened after. but I don't see the issue people would have had with you borrowing some stuff from AtB old for use in AtB new; especially if it was dead. I actually hope you are still working on it jirysis. If its bad then we can make a mod of the mod of the mod.

However , everything I've read about AtB is very interesting ( both for RTW and MTW2 ) .

I would however like the AtB to have at its westernmost end modern day Greece since to me throughout history that part of the world is the westernmost part of the Eastern World and the easternmost part of the Western World .

Well you can actually borrow most of the old stuff, but people didn't like the fact that we made a new and different AtB, and it would be worse if we used ol AtB's stuff.

Yes, yes, many have asked that. The problem with that is we waste factions. For intsance, Macedonia was never that far into Anatolia after 247. And the chremonidian war had ended, Athens was macedonian. So there was no real use for such factions.

I had the impression that AtB was not a sub-mod anymore, but rather a mod in its own right.
