Rookie question : waypoints?

In the battle map is there no way to place a waypoint? DO I have to wait until my unit reaches each point before I issue orders for a new direction?

You can set waypoints by pressing SHIFT-key while clicking where you want the units to go and even on an enemy unit if you desire that your unit charges that unit at the end of its movement.

You can also issue multiple attack orders this way which is useful for prioritizing which routers a unit should chase.

Note that you are still better off controlling the units manually as they do not act very smartly always and take the fastest route to the target rather than move around it.

Also, the unit will pause for a second when reaching a waypoint before continuing to the next which may prove deadly.
