At times if I have troops outside my settlements turning against me (Rebillion) I hate it when it happens especially if i have an important army (with general leading them ) outside ready to attack or sitting in a defense position basically.
I guess one way of preventing this from happening is by joining a diplomat with them.
I just wanting to know your thoughts about that
thanx

Yep, put a spy in their stack (Or any agent IIRC) and it'll keep them from going rebel as long as the agent is alive. Alternately massaging your King to have high authority, or just keeping a loyal general with your troops, will also prevent rebellion.

Loyal General is a near guarantee of the army loyalty.
On captain led armies, high authority of the faction leader is required or they have a high chance of rebellion.

I don't think keeping an agent with your stack prevents it from turning rebel. There was a thread a while back that disproved it afaik.

Does anyone know what is considered high authority? Like how likely is an army to rebel without a general if the king has, say 5 authority?
thanks
What about the region itself? If the region in question has a high unrest factor, does that aid an army going rebel?

I am in the middle of a campaign and I had a single unit of hoblars with 20 priest inside so I could move them around the Middle East more easily.
The hoblars went rebel after a very long time of using it like this and all my priests disappeared.
So the part where an agent will keep it from rebelling is not true as far as priests are concerned.

Yes!
Yeah didn't read the question properly
Anyway, do other factors like the religious stance of the settlement or the rebellion rate of a settlement has any affect to troops outside the settlement?

Nope.
