YLC is mafia, and I don't trust mafia. YLC is a confirmed hitman, whereas Khazaar is the object of accusations made by a mafia hitman.
Two days ago no one would have listened to the thoughts of a player who all but confessed to being scum, and yet today most of you are treating him like a townie.. I don't quite understand why.
His objectives obviously aren't a townie win, and yet he pretends to be attacking the Mafia.
I think his intentions may be rather more sinister.

Remember that Cecil may be in this game as a second (or third?) role.

Hints in the write-up may make a player suspicious, but a dead-giveaway by a mafioso is more convincing, therefore my vote stays.

After seeing Fixwee retiring rich and fat tony becoming the new black hand I suspect that some mafia win after by killing the current blackhand. Either way one mafia is selling out a more prominent mafia(that might even result in killing off a henchmen with it) I think it is worth the risk, if not winning it for us but it should at least buy us another day, so my vote stays.

Actually, if I remember correctly Glenn/Yaropolk is Hans Moleman, meaning he cannot be killed through lynching. It is for this reason that I believe it's impossible for him to be mafia. Therefore, by virtue of there being two mafia left, and you being the only other eligible person alive besides Beaver, you are also mafia.

I've already left a solution, but so far no one has taken my advice. Consider that if someone gets lynched this round, the town automatically loses. The Flashback








It all started when Robert Terwilliger, also known as Sideshow Bob, had got paroled (http://www.hulu.com/watch/17622/the-simpsons-sideshow-bobs-parole-hearing) again... thanks to the lousy Capital City Democrats and their soft stance on crime. Through the lobbying efforts of the Shelbyville Republican Party, an effort was made to not only release Bob from prison, but make him into a model citizen. It was then that Sideshow Bob decided that, rather than his ill-fated attempt to seize the office of Mayor of Springfield using fraudulent voting methods, he would simply kill everyone who opposed him. After a "conversion" and being born-again, Sideshow Bob impressed the parole board by being on his best behavior. Listen to how sweetly Sideshow Bob professed his newly found faith (http://www.clayloomis.com/Sounds/simpsongs1/simsg376a.wav). But since Sideshow Bob ended up stabbing someone on his way out of prison, he found his way back in, this time sharing a bunk with Cecil Terwilliger, his younger brother.

Thanks everyone for playing the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror game, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I'm sorry I didn't give everyone a super-powered role like I did in the previous one, but this was supposed to be a simpler game, one just involving a serial killer and multiple families.



ROLES:


Glenn was randomly selected to be the Capo de Tutti Capi, or Don of Dons, and he chose someone to play his trusted advisor; his consigliere. That choice was Captain Blackadder. He could not murder except for once in the game unless he was the last mafioso standing. His bullet was the only one which could kill Sideshow Bob. He had one lynch and one murder immunity. He was the only one Sideshow Bob couldn't kill with one shot. His lynch immunity, as well as his one-bullet limitation, expired upon becoming the last mafioso standing. His victory condition was to be the last one standing, which meant he wanted his consigliere and all the mafia families to die before the end of the game, but he also needed them to help him kill the townies and find Sideshow Bob. While town did get annihilated, Sideshow Bob eluded his grasp, and poor Glenn ended up being lynched. He had to juggle his desire to destroy his subordinates with his lack of an ability to murder nightly (he's basically a serial killer with one bullet) and also the fact that there were way too many townies to take on by himself, and Sideshow Bob was nearly indestructible himself and would find him and kill him. His identity would be protected from everyone below him because he communicated with his subordinates through Johnny Tightlips (Askthepizzaguy)


Captain Blackadder was chosen to be the original Black Hand of Springfield, the supposed Don of Dons, in reality just a henchman working for Don Vittorio DiMaggio. He chose TheFlax to be Birch Barlow, Boudica to be Mary Bailey, Beefy187 to be Akira, and Khazaar to be Fat Tony. Those would be the 4 Godfathers of Springfield. His victory condition meant that he would have to destroy his boss, the Capo de Tutti Capi, and along with one of the mafia families, survive the game. As long there was only one family remaining (or less) and he himself survived the game, he would win. He would relay commands from the Capo through to his subordinates via Johnny Tightlips (Askthepizzaguy) and therefore remain anonymous from their perspective. Only Glenn knew his identity.

TheFlax (replaced by Greyblades) was Birch Barlow, the Godfather of the Shelbyville Republican Party. He has no ability to murder unless both his henchmen are dead, and he only can have one at a time. He can recruit one if the first one dies. His victory conditions were several:

1. Eliminate all the townies in Springfield
2. Eliminate all the other mafia families in Springfield (including Sideshow Bob)
3. Destroy the Black Hand, and also, become the Capo de Tutti Capi (by killing Glenn)

He selected YLC as his henchman, who went on to destroy Khazaar and make Birch Barlow the Black Hand of Springfield, thus securing his victory condition, as well as one of Greyblades' victory conditions.

Boudica was Governor Mary Bailey, the Godfather of the Capital City Democratic Party. She has no ability to murder unless both her henchmen are dead, and she only can have one at a time. She can recruit one if the first one dies. Her victory conditions were several:

1. Eliminate all the townies in Springfield
2. Eliminate all the other mafia families in Springfield (including Sideshow Bob)
3. Destroy the Black Hand, and also, become the Capo de Tutti Capi (by killing Glenn)


She selected Ichigo as her henchman, who got killed by Sideshow Bob. She then selected Sasaki Kojiro who replaced White_Eyes, but she ended up getting lynched.

Beefy187 was Akira, the Godfather of the Springfield Yakuza, or Japanese Mafia. He has no ability to murder unless both his henchmen are dead, and he only can have one at a time. He can recruit one if the first one dies. His victory conditions were several:

1. Eliminate all the townies in Springfield
2. Eliminate all the other mafia families in Springfield (including Sideshow Bob)
3. Destroy the Black Hand, and also, become the Capo de Tutti Capi (by killing Glenn)

He selected pevergreen to be his henchman, but unfortunately pevergreen got lynched right away, and had to recruit during the first night phase. Then he got El Diablo, who turned out to be unfortunately mostly inactive. Thankfully beefy was allowed to send in El Diablo's kills for him. He was killed by Sideshow Bob.


Khazaar was Fat Tony, the Godfather of the D'Amico Crime family of Springfield. He has no ability to murder unless both his henchmen are dead, and he only can have one at a time. He can recruit one if the first one dies. His victory conditions were several:

1. Eliminate all the townies in Springfield
2. Eliminate all the other mafia families in Springfield (including Sideshow Bob)
3. Destroy the Black Hand, and also, become the Capo de Tutti Capi (by killing Glenn)

He selected Fixiwee to be his henchman, who ended up killing Captain Blackadder and allowing Fat Tony to become the second Black Hand, fulfilling his victory condition and one of Khazaar's in the process. Unfortunately, Khazaar was killed by a rival mafioso, YLC.

Sith|R|Antiwarmancake8, who was replaced by Beaver, was Sideshow Bob. It is a shame he was unable to play this game, and I wish him the best of luck and I hope he comes back to the Org soon. Beaver played the game masterfully, without any real clues or assistance because he was rarely able to read the thread, let alone look for my clues. I am amazed that he managed to elude the 4-5 kills per night at the beginning, and the unrelenting danger of being detected or investigated by all the night roles. No one ever touched him... astounding.

He had the ability to survive any murder, except for the silver bullet from the Capo himself. He was not immune to lynch or investigation, like the Godfathers and the Capo were. He could not kill Glenn with one shot; otherwise he ignored all protective abilities and would kill instantly. We was quite the powerful little villain, but incredibly, none of his abilities ever came in handy. :shame: And his one weakness (Glenn) was exploited.

Olavi- Lisa Simpson (Detective)

Given the sheer number of townies, even in this experimental game, I knew town would be overpowered if I game them many pro-town roles. So there was only one detective and that was it. The mafia had so many victory conditions which involved killing other mafia that the game turned out to be precisely balanced, amazingly. I did not expect the sudden downfall of the mafia at the end to be so completely catastrophic, but I had designed the game in such a way that it was a large possibility. There would be mafia-on-mafia deaths, but I didn't picture say... YLC's open, public betrayal and also Khazaar's reveal on YLC and Greyblades to happen subsequently. Fortunately it didn't help the town that much because Beaver randomly picked Beefy and Greyblades to die that round.

Askthepizzaguy, yours truly, dropped hints both as the host and also as "Cecil Terwilliger", a character I gave myself for the purposes of dropping those hints. There was a real danger that the game would end up with everyone killing each other, and in such a scenario, as with the Golden Rule game, I would claim the victory for myself like a spoiled little bratty host. However, I left a lot of hints for both the townies, mafia, and Serial Killer to avoid that scenario. However, because the identities of the opposing teams were so unknown, there was still a slight chance of there being a host victory again. If they had lynched Navarro951 and then shot each other to death tonight, there would have been no winner. Well, except for the filthy stinking rich people, which I might have used as an excuse not to claim the victory. My role was also pretty darn active; not only was I doing these extensive writeups, but I was also playing mail-carrier for 4 different mafia families, a Capo, and a Consigliere. I went through LITERALLY THOUSANDS of private messages this game, I had to empty my inbox a good dozen or so times, and that's with the 400 messages box. If everyone had killed each other off, I just might have added my name to the winner's circle just for the sheer effort involved. But I made it so that there would definitely be a winner besides me no matter what, and I delight in the fact that I was also murdered by Sideshow Bob at the end of the game, which was the original plan should he have survived. Cecil Terwilliger, from Springfield prison, was the one masquerading as "Johnny Tightlips" and sending those messages back and forth between the rival mafia families at their request. I actually was not only neutral, but helpful. I can't tell you how many times I warned players like Blackadder and Boudica about the unique-ness of their writing style, and that they might have wanted to edit their messages to make them less easy to detect as being from them. Anonymity is useless if people know who you are. So I actually saved Blackadder from an early reveal, and I also advised Glenn when he wanted to use his silver bullet early on that he would probably want to save it for Sideshow Bob. (he wasn't aware that his silver bullet was meant for Bob). When people asked me for advice on how to remain anonymous or survive, I offered some non-game breaking and neutral thoughts which were good in terms of general strategy. I did not favor anyone in the game over anyone else, because as much as I was helping the mafia avoid silly mistakes, I was also dropping deadly clues about them in my writeups, as per usual for all my games since I started hosting them. I do make them typically so obscure (as you will soon find out...) that they really only make sense in retrospect. however, they are there... and if someone figures them out... that's dead mafia. Trouble is, they would have to also convince the town of their interpretation of the clue, if it even is a clue, is the correct one. the clues both helped and hurt, because people went the wrong way on a couple of them. Bottom line: You can't really trust the clues and you have to be pretty smart and vigilant to find them, and persuasive as well for them to have any effect. I'll give a list of the clues/hints I dropped later.

Everyone else was given a character to roleplay, but no abilities.

No one told me that every one of my subordinates wanted me dead.

I suppose I handled my role quite poorly actually, but I believe I avoided suspicions throughout the entire games length, many players such as Chaotix considering that I was a genuine townie even in the last round.
But for a character with such great importance, I don't believe that I had much power.

I had one shot at killing off Sideshow Bob (Whose nemesis-like importance I had no clue about) and apart from that, I had the responsiblity of choosing 4 players to send in a PM to Blackadder, (Later Khazaar), in the hope that the next morning everyone on that list would be dead.

I had no tight control over my underlings, and had I attempted to make them more co-operative, they would have discovered and murdered me.
Indeed, all I could do is voice my opinion through Blackadder and in coarse situations send a personal anonymous message to dangerous rogues like Krusty the Clown in the hope that he would not make me waste either a family's killing-time or my silver bullet!

I was quite worried sometimes, and it was necessary to maintain the impression that I was capable of far more than my resources allowed.

I would be very happy to discuss the game with anyone here and I want to thank all players, especially Blackadder, Khazaar and all willing, loyal Mafia members who helped me enjoy my status of absolutely (perceived) power immensely.

Thank you also ATPG for a very grand playing experience.

The clues in this game were entirely simple.

If people had studied the night in which I was almost killed, they would have noted the clue about the Auto, which was not in a write-up, but actually given on request to a player who was having trouble finding the mafia.
ATPG said he should get an Auto.
Closer attention would have had me lynched mid-game!

Bwahahahahaa..... You had the leadership of the mafia, and indirect control over 10 votes. But as you saw, that didn't make you all-powerful, and the mafia turned on one another and didn't save boudica, and they took the initiative in destroying successive Black Hands. Given you could direct votes away from you, I thought you had a pretty safe role, and it would make you think so too... but eventually they would deduce who you were and kill you. Or so I thought.

One more stray bullet... and you would have went bye-bye... I'm surprised Sideshow Bob never asked me why the kill on Glenn failed.

You're the Mastermind behind everything that goes on in Springfield and beyond.

You're "Just an Old Italian Stereotype" but you're much more than that. You have a mission: Survive the game, whatever the cost. Even if it means... destroying your subordinates... BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!! You can murder once during the game, yourself. You've got a gun, and a silver bullet. Anyone you choose to die, will die, end of story, no matter what their "abilities" are. You would have known, if Glenn had ended up targeting you for the murder at the end. It would have been deflected due to your ability to survive it, and you would know it came from someone besides the underlings below you due to process of elimination:

Not Mafia below you kill

Therefore, it would have been your boss. And you would be able to kill all you liked at that point. You were going to be given a nightly kill once one family died, or if you were shot at, I think. I have to check my role PM for you.

Kind of like a game of Rock, Scissors, Paper... or something.

Glenn could target his subordinate and kill him. But then he would be out of bullets.

The Black Hand could take a bullet from a mafioso below him, and he could figure out who did it and then dispose of them by ordering their deaths from one of the other families. But I admit, he was pretty doomed, especially when a stray bullet hit him early on.

The Godfathers wanted to become the Capo, but had no idea the Black Hand wasn't the Capo. They had no defenses whatsoever and were sitting ducks from rival families hitting them or their superiors hitting them. But they still had to try to kill their superiors eventually... gaining their trust first, then betraying them silently one night after deducing who they were.

The Henchmen wanted desperately to kill someone and advance their Godfather up the ranks, so they were even more disloyal to the Black Hand than anyone else. And they had no idea who Glenn was, and they might have accidentally hit him because some (YLC for example, Ichigo/Boudica also) disobeyed the Black Hand and went all trigger-happy.

And Sideshow Bob... well... added to the carnage and was the nemesis of the Capo, and somewhat immune to murder but capable of being detected and lynched rather easily, if not for sheer dumb luck.

Then town wanted them all destroyed and had an investigator, and some 29 votes I believe. Pretty fairly balanced, but no faction was indestructible and each faction was in severe danger from the others and full of paranoia.

I think after two or three days of doing your bidding (thinking you were the boss). I asked you to give me some more information, I didn´t want to feel like the uninformed minority (which most of the mafia were). I didn´t get a reply, and I think you (now for obvious reasons) planted some misinformation to check our loyality. Anyway, I got paranoid and felt sure you´d off me. It wasn´t a logical action, rather than rushing to save my butt. Also I wasn´t 100% certain that you were the Black Hand, it was a (good) guess.

Problem is, I had to delete a lot of PM´s so I don´t have it anymore. Result: sorry I whacked you, but someone would have done it eventually, as ATPG said. The chances for the Black Hand were minimal....

I really enjoyed the hierarchy in this game.
Probably because I was sitting at it's pinnacle, and therefore could appreciate the mechanics of it more.

The fact that no one in the mafia was game-bound to do as their uppers told them made the night phases quite tense.

Although I never suspected Blackadder, and Khazaar was quite apologetic for the mistakes of the Godfathers.
Indeed, I trusted my Hands because ATPG assured me that they could not get any higher on the food chain!

As for a lurker victory.. well.. it is sad.

But I congratulate Beaver nonetheless! He did take a second-hand role, which may mean that he was incapable of good active enthusiasm in the thread.
I wrote to ATPG that a minimum number of posts in the day phase should be enforced.

I spent half the game picking out players who I suspected to be Sideshow Bob.
Firstly, I was certain that Psychonaut and Yoyoma were up to something.
Then there was Shlin28, and I was racking the thread for evidence!

But everyone was so uninterested that no evidence materialised.

Then Death is Yonder became the thread-detective, and I both praised him genuinely for his efforts and wondered whether he should die or not.
Beefy volunteered to kill him it seemed.

Then at last I was sure, convinced, that Sideshow Bob MUST be an active, good player.
Chaotix? Yes! Chaotix must die!
I had him lynched.
Oh dear... Split?

Split was the only active player left.

Beaver wanted to drop out because he couldn't read and catch up on everything, so I asked him what his list of kills were, in order of priority, and told him to just vote every day phase and I'd already have his kill orders.

Glenn was at the very bottom of that list. Were it not for being lynched, Glenn might have won.

I'll like to ask why further elaboration was not brought onto your location and name on top of member "Johnny Tightlips", it appears the host give subtle clues that he's Cecil too :clown:.

Well I was Cecil, because only the host would drop clues while writing as Cecil. And everyone already knew I was Johnny Tightlips because that's how I identified myself to the mafia.

I got to roleplay as a mafioso without actually being one. It was great!

By the way, one possible solution for the town winning the final round: No lynch or abstain.

Then, Glenn and Beaver would have had to target each other because if they did not, they risked killing the townie and then being shot by the other. Navarro could have made that happen, more or less, by voting: No Lynch. Then, Glenn and Beaver could only have voted for each other, because if they both targeted Navarro, town would be lynched and then they would kill each other off in the night phase. Everyone was better off if all 3 survived the round. Using such logic, Navarro might have convinced them to abstain from the lynch, and take their chances in the night phase: anything is better than a zero chance of winning.

Then, they would still be stuck with the conundrum: do we target navarro who voted No Lynch or the other one who voted for them? Obviously that person must be the remaining scumbag... and blam... both killers target each other and Navarro wins the game.

But, that also gambles on the mafia and killer's behavior being purely self-serving, which they should have been, given the nature of the game.

Question: How would YOU have handled that final 3-way round?


Personally I might have voted myself, and invited the killers to vote for me as well, telling them: This proves I'm the townie, because if I die, you just kill each other and then it's a draw, which is the best I can hope for. Then they might have been powerless with their one useless vote, and would have been forced into a 2-killer, 3 player night phase which would be probably deadlier for the killers than the town.

That's my gambit. I can't think of another solution.

I might have given you that one. But if the factions all end up dead, the Filthy Rich people and the host wins. Better might have been proving there was no solution, and asking for a 3-way draw, because there might have been a way to force the draw anyway with Navarro's voting himself.

It was a no-win situation for the town if someone got lynched, best was a draw, or no lynch and hoping the mafia kill each other... which they wouldn't want to do because then town wins... Vicious circle indeed. A negotiated "happily ever after" (no lynch, followed by no murder) might have ended the game peacefully.

If Sideshow hadn't killed the Beef it would likely swung in mafia's favor. If Don Maggio had killed Sideshow we had a chance of victory.

Still, if Chaotix wasn't lynched we probably had a higher chance of victory.

Nevertheless I'll congratulate the mafia on a good game and a near victory + tie for 2nd place so to speak. Boooo :smash: tied with mafia.

I suppose I did well for my first game, thanks to pizza for his cryptic hints :yes:, most of which resulted in the following cycle... Clue received :2thumbsup:---> Nothing inspirational :wall:---> Woot! :idea2:.

That's how I generally went about on my lynches, I posted my arguments just before I went off, and the next time I came on write ups were up. It does have its disadvantages but it seemed to have worked this time, with little defense forthcoming from the mafia to challenge my statements. This may have been due in part to the backstabbing nature of the rest of the mafia, so... :laugh4:

Unfortunatley I got a whole lot of stuff to do (I'm writing this during biology class) and didn't really have time to play, altough I did as good as I could. Most kills was fairly random, but there was some thought behind them.

I thought that Navarro was mafia, but when Glenn didn't vote himself when he was told to, I got sucpicious and changed my vote. Maybe not the best thing to go on, but I took a chance there.

After the Olavi lynch for lurking I was trying to be rather cautious in directing lynches. I only advocated lynching via evidence method as pizza informed me that there would be implications of killers in writeups that are linkable to their cover role names or their character names. I also rather.. empathized with your RL issues, having many project related issues from start game to mid late game, whereupon it conveniently vanished, providing me with time to search for several clues. In this, I suppose I'm rather glad that I was killed that night.

Well, upon asking pizza if ghost detectives were encouraged, he told me that he would prefer if the town, who had been rather lazy thus far, would work it out themselves. As such I respected his wishes and stayed rather ambiguous and silent for the rest of the game. Eagerly anticipate the next game post exam :2thumbsup:, mafia has been a rather enjoyable few week experience thus far :balloon2:.

I think my location is simple enough, it is a mix of Simpsons and Council of Villains!

However, if this was a game like Capo III I would not dare do such a thing.
Sasaki or Andres would have a bandwagon on you in minutes for details like that.

But that is what surprised me in this game; players were not actively seeking to accuse others, and this made it easy for players such as myself to make strawman arguments, lynch townies and generally seem like your well-to-do town yokel.

D.I.Y., I really appreciate your analysis towards the endgame, and I am almost sorry that I could not have genuinely played a part in it.

This is the first time I have played as a Mafioso (A good way to start?) and this is my fourth overall game.

You know what's funny?

Beaver wanted to drop out because he couldn't read and catch up on everything, so I asked him what his list of kills were, in order of priority, and told him to just vote every day phase and I'd already have his kill orders.

Glenn was at the very bottom of that list. Were it not for being lynched, Glenn might have won.

I'm glad to know that I wasn't killed because SideshowBob knew that I was the Don. Just a random kill :sweatdrop:

I just organized the lynch and destruction of an entire family by extension, surely that mafia is going to take me down tonight...

Well, I stand corrected. Glenn caught me completely off-guard there. I had absolutely no idea he would turn out to be mafia in the end. I had the endgame strategy right (make sure noone gets killed during the lynch), but I took the wrong person as being innocent for granted. I thought for sure since Glenn had been invincible he couldn't be mafia- evidently it was really navarro who was innocent.

I did, however, suspect Beaver for mafia as early as Day 6, I believe.

Excellent game, ATPG... now we'll have to see how mine ends...

It sounds silly but...

no matter how complex the game, all you really have to do is show up and vote for who you think needs to be lynched for you to win. Sometimes people duel you or something, and you don't even need to know about that, it will happen to you eventually and you cant really stop it.

Complex rules? In the end, it's just uninformed majority versus informed minority, or some variation on multiple families. Sometimes you get annoying, bogus games where the host wins or the mafia is actually on the side of the town or the game ends in total destruction somehow... (Golden Rule, Psycho, Treehouse) and it's always that darned Pizzaguy who's messing with the usual rules. Darn him and his overactive imagination and narcissistic inserting of himself into every game.

I was getting worried I had made an unbalanced game there for a while... but most people didn't really get the food clues and I think the town had given up by then. I can't be sure. But Death is Yonder did a good job deciphering some of them, but he messed up and was way off on other clues.

I meant these clues to give the town a fighting chance in spite of losing their only power role, and given the fact that the mafia would be a nearly unstoppable voting bloc if something wasn't done.

I liked the activity level in the later rounds :laugh4:. Only thing you have to do is kill off most of the active peoples and be nice to the few remaining. It was a easy swim for the mafia.

No one knows that you're just a henchman yourself, so you must act as though YOU are the Boss of Bosses, the Capo de Tutti Capi.

Wield the power you've been granted by your boss like an iron-fisted tyrant. You possess a rank greater than that of the pathetic "families" below you. Every Godfather answers to you, and if they don't, you may have the ability to order a hit on their Godfather from another family, or expose them to the citizens of Springfield and have them lynch the fool. They dance the way you want them to dance.

However, if you want their loyalty and cooperation, you may not want to threaten them right away. Don't spoil the game for them; let them believe that they are in control of their destinies. You may also be given the ability to Murder at some point in the game; but you don't have that ability right now.

You can survive one Murder attempt on your life, but not a lynch. Do not expose yourself, or the citizens of Springfield can destroy you. Remain hidden and anonymous, and communicate to your loyal "Godfather" underlings through ME. Exposing yourself is not an option, as it will result in an instant Wrath of God, and you automatically lose. Never reveal to anyone who you are.

Your task is to destroy the town of Springfield; they're just a bunch of lawless degenerates anyway. Your next task is to destroy the rival mafia families. Finally, you want to take a shot at becoming the next Capo de Tutti Capi... so KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF.... You may be able to deduce who the Black Hand is... and if you kill him, you can take his place. But you must do the deed personally, which means you'll have to murder him. That means you've got to have no henchmen underneath you, so you have the ability to murder. That means eventually... your "assistant" henchperson will have to "sleep with the fishes".

But don't tell your henchman you've got to destroy him; that's against the rules.

It's not personal, it's just business. Please select your henchman now, give me 5 names. They are allowed to refuse to work for you, but they won't know who you are unless they get hired by you.

You have no ability to kill, and if your henchman dies, you may select one more henchman. After that, you can murder all you like. You're immune to investigation, and you can be lynched or murdered. You have no special defenses. Your win condition implies that you've got to kill basically everyone else in the game, possibly even your subordinates. But keep them around for a while... they come in handy, you know.

You are known to many as The Black Hand, the Hand of Death that holds Springfield in your tight grip. No one knows that you're just a henchman yourself, so you must act as though YOU are the Boss of Bosses, the Capo de Tutti Capi.

Wield the power you've been granted by your boss like an iron-fisted tyrant. You possess a rank greater than that of the pathetic "families" below you. Every Godfather answers to you, and if they don't, you may have the ability to order a hit on their Godfather from another family, or expose them to the citizens of Springfield and have them lynch the fool. They dance the way you want them to dance.

However, if you want their loyalty and cooperation, you may not want to threaten them right away. Don't spoil the game for them; let them believe that they are in control of their destinies. You may also be given the ability to Murder at some point in the game; but you don't have that ability right now.

You can survive one Murder attempt on your life, but not a lynch. Do not expose yourself, or the citizens of Springfield can destroy you. Remain hidden and anonymous, and communicate to your loyal "Godfather" underlings through ME. Exposing yourself is not an option, as it will result in an instant Wrath of God, and you automatically lose. Never reveal to anyone who you are.

You are disguised as Abraham J. Simpson, the granddaddy of the Simpson family. They don't love you enough to include you in their daily lives, so you have no qualms about murdering them. Do what must be done... you're the BLACK HAND!!!

Victory Condition: One of the Mafia families must win the game, you don't care who; but the game does not end until all the mafia are eliminated, or one mafia family is left standing.
