How long should we wait for people to offer loans? Only two have come forward so far, come on men of Makedon, where's your patriotism?
I don't know how to add money in EB, to be honest I don't want to know either. I have always avoided finding out how cheats work, if I don't know how I can't be tempted, I only worked out how to show the entire map in order to write AARs. So if I tell you how much we raised could you do it Maion?
I'm waiting for JbG to answer me...its always the less active ones you need most isn't it...
i didnt realise we had to keep track of our fortune ourselves.
Anyway, I can't seem to find how much I earn each turn...
But since I'm giving it up as a loan anyway, I feel that the basileus can do himself a favour nd calculate how much he can extricate from me :)
Officially you're not a Demarchos, so you shouldn't have an income until you're officially appointed.

Either way, the Basileus would rather refuse your money than count it himself. Get an abacus, boy! :shame:
Aww, does Gonatas have the 'Unschooled' trait? or is that just you? :clown:

TCV, give me a list of the amount of mnai taken by loans, and I will use console commands to add the sum to the treasury.

Err, I only know that I've loaned out 4000 mnai, but not how much john may have loaned from anyone else.
@Beanerz: you'd better watch it, or you might gain the 'cruelly scarred' trait! As the king, it's not my job to do other people's budgets. :brood:
Officially you're not a Demarchos, so you shouldn't have an income until you're officially appointed.
i'm the son of the basileus, surely i get SOMETHING?
So? That's not a job is it? I'm the son of the Basileus Grammatikus, I don't get anything for that. You're just angry because you thought you had the best character in Alkyoneus, and now you don't get to fight Pyhrrus :beam:. Bean wins!

Total loans of 6150 if you want to go ahead Maion.

look at his profile, think it was just a short run of him. he was last online some weeks ago.
We need another diplomat, even if he's a minor...

Send him to Sparta, they love minors there.
Are we going to start the next turn soon?
Hotseat_User
05-09-2009, 06:58
@Bean, why do we need a 2nd.? We need spys and assasins to observe our boarders. And furthermore there mainlands. :clown: But also diplomats can observe to some point
are they cheaper? Haven't played since 1 month or so... (besides Antipatros.)
Its because JbG's our only diplomat (thus the only one with diplomatic powers) and he's very inactive.

guys? anybody out there?
I think we should take the safe and start the new round ( hi john ) JbG may will come back and in this case he could take his old duties but 'till that, the synedron should act like a 'Reichsverweser' (person who keeps "the office" running while a german Kaiser was dead/not yet voted).
:juggle2:
ah
TVS is being hit by the disease called throne room inactivity after creating

Well we need to move the diplomat this next turn; wonder if we can do it w/o JdG's ok.

05-11-2009, 19:38
I'm checking in here regularly, ready to end the turn, but people still have to make moves. I'm not really keen on ending the turn with nobody moving and my guy still being under seige.
The Celtic Viking
05-11-2009, 21:17
If I'm one of those you're referring to, I've asked you to move my army for me as specified in my SOT.
Oh, I thought we were waiting for the turn to end so that we could make our moves...I'm basically going to be inactive other than keeping track every few days for the next few weeks. Got my A Levels, see. Need to devote basically all my time to them. I'll put my moves in my SOT, so whoever needs to, can you check there for updates evry turn? Ta

OK guys, I'm waiting for someone (TVS, johnhugthom?) to prepare me a list with the loans, so I can implement them into the game with console commands.

As we discussed with johnhughthom, the Basileus can't loan anything. Basically, because the faction's incomes are (per default) the Basileus'. Believed that was obvious.

My bad, then. I interpreted the quote below to mean that I got the amount of mnai as we get from the mines and sea trade for my own, separate from the kingdom's treasury.
All settlements and armies belong to the Basileus, while all incomes by means of sea trade and mines belong to the Basileus and only him.
Since I was wrong, we need more loans. :sweatdrop:

Since I was wrong, we need more loans.
Indeed we do, Beanerz, mini, Iskander where's your dough?
I was informed by beanerz I have no income since my position was not official...
So how can I loan without an income......
johnhughthom
05-13-2009, 18:40
Archikataskopos - 200 mnai
Archiproxenos - 100 mnai
Archon stolou - 400 mnai
Strategos/Governor (any type) - 500 mnai
Surely you fit into one of those categories? I have no idea what the first three are though so I can't be sure. :dizzy2:
Urgh...I need JbG...can I write you a cheque?

Urgh...I need JbG...can I write you a cheque?
What you talking about fool??:whip: You have 2000 just lying around doing nothing, think of the soldiers that could buy. You might even get paid back some time, if the next Basilikos Grammateus is less corrupt than the current one that is. :sweatdrop::beam:

You can borrow my 1600.

1600 of your MakBuks will do very nicely, brings our total up to 3750.

Since the diplomat hasn't shown up and Bean-o has asked me for naval support, I shall be moving my fleet to Lacedaemon for now.
johnhughthom
05-14-2009, 03:01
I considered doing that to help him seige Sparta before ending the turn, I didn't want to offend our great and glorious admiral any more than I already have however.
Remember to try to take your two units from the Basileus army before seiging Sparta though Beanerz, don't fancy your chances without them.
I'm not meant to have a chance...I'm the distraction. I want my reinforcements in tact for when I return. If the worst happens and my army is heavily damaged, I'll want some fresh units waiting for me.
And fine...I would roleplay this better for IC reasons and so on but I havent the time. I might do it later if it still looks ok, but you can have 1200 of my precious gold
johnhughthom
05-14-2009, 09:40
That's 4950 then Maion, I'm sure you can count but just thought I should confirm the total.:beam:
Maion Maroneios
05-14-2009, 10:48
OK, I'm going to take the save shortly and add 4,950 then. Make sure to keep a note of who gives what, as you will have to return the money at some point. Also, everyone, make sure to calculate your total fortune by multiplying your income by the number of turns passed. Plus the extra you get, if any.
Also, johnhughthom, I'd like you to send me a short description of what happened during the year 272BC. In other words, what moves were made etc. I need this for every year.

Basileus Grammateus report for the Year 272 BC.
At the beginning of the year work began on building drainage systems in Pella, Demetrias and Korinthos to promote health and growth in our major cities. One unit of Hoplitai Hoploi were raised as garrison in Demetrias and a unit of toxotai raised in Pella. One fleet of trireme were disbanded due to cost and Akontistai in Chalkis and Classical Hoplites in Myteline disbanded as they were no use to us in the current location. Our main army moved north to intercept Pyrrhos, who then left our territory. Diplomatic efforts to end hostilities with Pyrrhos met with disdain. One more trireme fleet was disbanded to cut costs as our economy was spiralling into debt.
A Koinon Hellenon army beseiged Korinthos and it was decided to attack Athens and Sparta to try to draw them away. As the year ended emergency loans were being raised and the Basileus was at the walls of Athens with Epirote armies dangerously close to Pella, Alexandros was unable to pass the Koinon Hellenon army in order to attack Sparta.
edit: Just realised you probably didn't want this here, I will copy/paste it into the savegame thread if you want Maion. Also, I can't seem to get the newest save, the link brings me to Atomic Gamer and I don't see a link for it there.

What's up? Is this PBM dead?
Edit: from the lack of response, I take it that's a 'yes', and so I can no longer afford the disk space this PBM requires. In other words, I resign. :shame:
