Yep it's back but it's different this time.

Every time I'd blockade the AI's ports play for 10 turns or so they'd still be blockaded. Save the game, load it up the next day and bam mass rally's. Every time I reload the game the AI seems to make better decisions. It appears for a proper AI you need to reload every turn.

I'm guessing you can blockade a port full of ships of the line with 1 sloop and it will remain blockaded until you reload.

AI ships at sea don't seem to be bugged if they see decent odds they will attack a blockading fleet.

So it appears the AI ships in port have trouble making decisions until a reload

Actually, I wonder if the AI is stronger if you reload every single turn. Do you save at the end of your turn or beginning? When do you reload?

Oaty, if you remember back in the day, CA reassured us that Rome's little reload idiosyncracies were a feature, not a bug ;)

I have noticed that you have to reblockade ports on reload after the patch. Reloading seems to end the blockade. I have not tried with a siege in progress.

Oh, so all these CTD (https://forums.totalwar.org/wiki/index.php/Acronyms_Abbreviations_Shorthand#CTD)s are a feature, not a bug! We have to go through the crash-and-restart cycle to make the AI "work."

I'm so glad that's cleared up ... :laugh4:
