From the Politico (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0709/24441.html):
"Underwriting Opportunity: An evening with the right people can alter the debate," says the one-page flier. "Underwrite and participate in this intimate and exclusive Washington Post Salon, an off-the-record dinner and discussion at the home of CEO and Publisher Katharine Weymouth. ... Bring your organization’s CEO or executive director literally to the table. Interact with key Obama administration and congressional leaders."
Anyone want to explain this one to me? I'm having hard time understanding what the hell they were thinking. :dizzy2:

Edit: Ironically, it was lobbyists that reported this, thinking it was unethical....

And now they are retracting amid some of the lamest excuses I have ever seen. Fire the wench, perish the whole idea.

Middle man = Washington Post.

Printed media is hurting big time for revenue and most of them are operating at a loss. This is their way of generating $$$.
