Bowser hails from Dimension 001, a world that is inhabited by many different sentient species and that is divided into various kingdoms and states, the most notable of which is the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser is King of the Koopa Kingdom, a nation of Koopas, sentient turtle-like beings. Being the King, Bowser is the greatest, most powerful, and formidable of the Koopas. He has used his forces countless times to invade the Mushroom Kingdom and to capture its reigning monarch, Princess Peach Toadstool. However, each time he has done this he has been trounced by Class S Hero and founding IFH member Mario.

Bowser was one of the leaders of the “Council of Villains” incident that occurred several months ago in Dimension 002. He used the power of the “Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom” in order to grant himself unimaginable strength and power, encapsulated in the form of the object known only as the “Plot Device Star”. The Plot Device Star is more powerful than the Invincibility Star, Seven Stars, Power Stars, Star Spirits, Bean Star, Crystal Stars, Cobalt Star, Shine Sprites, Grand Stars, or Dark Star before it. It is rumored that the power level of the Plot Device Star is over 9000, but no hero who has seen the terrible object has yet lived to tell the tale.

Since Bowser’s return to Dimension 001, he has conquered the Mushroom Kingdom, kidnapped the Princess, and forced Mario and his small group of heroes into hiding. He reigns terror over the Kingdom, and has brought a dark age to his world. It is unknown what plans he has for the Princess, but they are certainly sinister. Bowser remains holed up in his own castle, letting his minions do the rest of the work of pillaging the Mushroom Kingdom for him. In t-2 days, Class S Hero Mario has scheduled a raid on Bowser’s Castle, possibly to defeat Bowser and end the conflict once and for all. It remains to be seen who will be the victor in this epic battle.

The Koopa Troop


A Large Mafia Game set in the “Council of Villains” Universe.

Welcome, everyone, to my newest mafia game, the Koopa Troop. This game features a few interesting game mechanics that should make it a very different game from Council of Villains. However, it should prove to be just as epic in scale, and the write-ups will be in the same style as the last game as well.

Here is the game in a nutshell: Mario and his friends have invaded Bowser’s Castle, and Bowser and his minions have to drive them out. However, the game will be nowhere near as simple as this, for some reasons that I will reveal, and others that you’ll have to find out on your own.

The first is that Bowser is not, as you might expect, invincible like he was in the last game. Rather, the main goal of the town (the minions) is to keep Bowser alive. If Bowser is killed by Mario (or another force) then the town loses its main victory condition. Fortunately, Bowser will be disguised as one of his underlings during the daytime, and he will have guards that are trusted to protect him every night. And also fortunately for the town is that there are secondary victory conditions as well as primary ones. It is possible for the minions to lose Bowser, but go on to win the game with a secondary (marginal) victory if they wipe out the mafia.

If Bowser is killed, however, it is certainly going to be more difficult for the town to survive, and this is due to the second game mechanic: the Plot Device Star. Whoever kills Bowser will gain possession of the Plot Device Star, and with it great power. Many of the special characters’ victory conditions revolve around having control of the Star at the end of the game.

There are a few other surprises that will become evident as the game progresses, as well. Who knows? You might even see a recurring character or two from the original Council of Villains. If you read the write-ups from that game carefully, it is possible to guess who they might be in advance… but these will also become evident through this game’s write-ups.

Other than those things, standard mafia rules apply. I’m pretty much assuming you know how to play the game.

-Reveal, both public and private, is allowed unless otherwise stated by me.
-Dead cannot reveal or PM.
-Screenshots, chat-logs, etc. are not allowed.
-If you have no posts in the thread for three days in a row or five total, you’ll get to see the Wrath of Bowser first-hand.
-Ask questions for clarifications, I know I missed something.

This game can function with 30 players, but I’m looking for 50 for the best experience. Sign up, and tell all your friends to sign up! Just make sure you’re active if you want to play.

It was quiet in Bowser’s Castle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uluRpTIK-lE)… almost too quiet. It was, unlike that fateful night just a few months before, a clear night, with not a cloud in the sky. The moon of the Mushroom dimension shone, a bright reddish color, since Dr. Eggman’s loaned robots had begun mining it for anything useful. And inside the castle, Bowser was sleeping soundly. They had recently installed soundproof walls in the Koopa King’s bedchamber, so that his obnoxious snoring would not keep the rest of the castle awake.

Then, all of a sudden, a siren. Then, more. Sirens were blaring from all throughout the castle, and as Bowser woke up with a roar, he wished he hadn’t let Eggman go overboard with the security system. The Plot Device Star was all the security he needed; as long as he held that glowing bundle of pure energy, no one could challenge him ever again- not even Mario.

Bowser sauntered on over to the Command Chamber, the sirens still ringing in his ears. Upon reaching the room, he found Eggman’s advisory robot, E-127 Chaotix, which he used to keep in communication with the mad doctor. Bowser grumbled a few words, trying to sound regal or something:

“What is the meaning of this… this… loud noise thingy? Why did you wake me up, you stupid bag of bolts? Don’t you know I can’t be evil and awesome if I don’t get my beauty sleep?”

“Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! Hostile forces have infiltrated the castle!”

Bowser grumbled something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like “wasting my time”. He then addressed the robot again.

“Look, just put Egghead on the other line. Talking to you is getting me nowhere.”

“Attempting to connect with Dr. Eggman now… connection successful! Transmitting voice and holo data…”

A holographic screen projected from the robot’s body. The visage of Eggman (https://youtube.com/watch?v=9SITtJDz5X0) appeared on the screen.

“Ah, hello again, King Bowser… I must say, it’s good to see you again.”

“Shut up, baldie! Just tell me what’s going on with your red lights and loud noises so I can get back to sleep!”

“Well, it appears you’ve got a little bit of trouble inside your castle.”

“Trouble? What do you mean?”

“I’m detecting security breaches in at least three different sectors of the castle; it appears you are under attack, old friend.”

Finally, the words clicked inside Bowser’s head. Attack. He was under attack. The Koopa King could only mutter one word, and with it came a sense of both contempt and dread.




“Mario.”

“Gwahahar! Of course I’ll be fine. I’ll take care of this myself, Eggman. No assistance needed here. Mario is mine, and I’m gonna crush him between my claws!”

Bowser turned to look at the robot underneath the hologram.

“Shut that thing off now!”

E-127 Chaotix obliged.

“Transmission ended.”

Bowser (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzOauNTAsJU) stood, contemplating his next move… should he wait for Mario in the Lava Pit Chamber as usual, or mix it up this time? He couldn’t decide. And he wouldn’t have the chance, either, because suddenly a Koopa Troopa came sprinting into the room.

“S-Sir! It’s terrible! It’s just terrible!”

Bowser grabbed the Koopa by its neck.

“What’s terrible?”

“It-It’s the east tower. All of the Goombas s-stationed there… th-they’ve been… they’ve been-”

“GRAWR! They’ve been what? Spit it out already, shell-for-brains!”

“They’ve all been squished! Every single one of them, flattened. And on their heads… the mark of…”

The small Koopa became hysterical with fear.

“BOOT HEELS! THEY’VE GOT BOOT MARKS ON THEIR HEADS! MARIO IS HERE! EVERYBODY, RUN!”

The sound of the Koopa’s voice echoed through the castle walls before Bowser could throw him at the wall and shut him up. Upon hearing those words, there was chaos throughout the castle. Bowser facepalmed. During all this confusion, it was likely Mario had already found a disguise. Then something sparked in the Koopa King’s brain.

“A disguise… well, two can play at that game…”

Bowser ran out onto the balcony overlooking the assembly point of the castle. He let out a huge roar that stopped every minion in its tracks and made them turn their attention to him.

“All right! Minions, listen up! Obviously, you must have heard that Mario is inside the castle. Well, don’t worry about it! Look, I’ve got the Plot Device Star. There’s no way I can lose to him. But even better, is that I’ve got a plan. It worked pretty well back while I was at the Council of Villains, so it should work just fine here.”

The Koopa Troop listened attentively to their king and savior from the big, bad Mario.

“Mario’s probably disguised as one of us. We won’t be able to tell it’s him when we see him. But, if we all take a vote on who’s acting suspicious, we’ll definitely find him! It’s simple logic. If everyone thinks he’s Mario, then the only logical answer is that he IS Mario! Then we can all gang up on him- there’s no way he can beat the whole Koopa Troop at once.”

The Koopa Troop thought over Bowser’s plan. To most of them, it seemed like there couldn’t be any better idea, especially not with the advanced scanning equipment left over from Dr. Eggman’s reconstruction. It was as Bowser said- if they think they find Mario, then it must be Mario.

“Another thing. I’m willing to bet there’s more enemies in this castle than just Mario. That’s just how these sorts of things work. So as a little… err… precaution, I’m going to disguise myself as well, and I’m going to have myself guarded during the night-time. Alright, then, let’s get to discussing and voting- at this rate we’ll have that plumber cornered by sunset.”

It had been a long day at Bowser’s Castle. There had been a fierce debate in the assembly hall. On one side stood a group of minions who decided it would be more judicious not to immediately accuse someone, and to wait until the dread plumber revealed himself. On the other were a bunch of short-tempered underlings who wanted to get rid of a particularly annoying Piranha Plant, regardless of whether or not he was really an intruder in disguise.

At sunset, as promised, Bowser appeared at the high balcony, and he was given the empty Koopa shell that contained all of the votes. The evil king grimaced (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_-Ea7D9O30) in disgust as he looked over the majority of the votes.

“What is this? All of you idiots voting No Lynch- what kind of half-baked strategy is that? What, are you afraid of killing someone? We’re the bad guys! We’re evil! We’re SUPPOSED to be killing people anyway! Some bunch of evil henchmen you are. Next thing you’ll be telling me we should stop serving Toads for dinner, too. In fact, we should probably starve, because even the trees and the clouds and the food have eyes around here! GRAAAAAAAAAAWRRR! You’re all spineless cowards, unworthy of the Koopa name.”

The Koopa Troop stood, cowering spinelessly, as Bowser continued.

“But luckily, the more-awesome minions have saved your shells by actually picking someone to get rid of- and they beat your wimpy hippy-vote, too. The lynch candidate for today is… Steve the Piranha Plant. All right, get out here, Steve.”

There was a rustling among the Troop as the minions searched around for Steve. Finally, he popped out of a pipe that was for some reason in the assembly hall.

With that, Bowser leapt from the balcony, landing with an earth-shaking thud in front of Steve. Breathing in deeply, he unleashed a giant cloud of flame on the Piranha Plant and held it there for what seemed like a whole minute. He then stormed out of the room, grumbling to himself.

All of the minions stared at the smoldering Piranha Plant, murmuring to each other and wondering what to do next.

“Wow… I think he’s dead.”

“Really? You think he could have survived an attack like that?”

Suddenly, the seemingly-dead Steve twitched. And then again. After a few seconds, he picked his head back up.

“WOW! That prize was AWESOME! I never ever dreamed I’d get to be bathed in Bowser’s FLAMES before!”

“You’re kidding me. He’s really alive?”

“Of course I’m alive. Why wouldn’t I be, silly? It’s not like I was about to get killed or anything.”

“Oh, just go away, Steve.”

“Why, don’t you guys like me? I am SUPER-POPULAR, after all.”

“Umm… of course we like you. It’s just… the second part of the award. You have to go far away and never return again, so that your tales of popularity become legend and stuff. You’ll be immortalized.”

“Yes, really. Now go.”

So, I think I'm starting to see a trend with first-round lynches in my mafia games:

The idea of the joker one is flawed. Its a good one to use on people who don't expect it, but it just gets tiresome in online mafia. Its too easy to get yourself lynched.

The whole premise of someone wanting to get themselves lynched is funny, sometimes, but theres just been too many.

I'm not saying I don't like neutral roles, look at my mafia game running right now, theres so many different factions it isnt funny. But each of them can work together, even if its the town and the mafia. Sure, theres always the independants, but its them vs everyone.

I'm of no doubt that I'm in a very large minority, but its the way I feel.

I however, will not pull out, I'll forge ahead, hopefully forgetting the fact there was a joker.

tl;dr I HATE THEM RARARAR.

Traditionally, the joker role wins the game when they win the game and the rest lose the game when they the joker wins the game. Then sometimes you keep playing for second place. There's also something else to consider. Lynching him means that he wins. And that we didn't lynch a mafia. In no way whatsoever are we better off having lynched him.

It's pretty much the whole point of joker roles that try not to lynch them, right?

Well we certainly weren't going to lynch mafia by voting for no lynch, so I don't think you can really say that by lynching him we didn't lynch mafiasince we weren't going to anyway. Frankly I'd rather him be a dead winner then alive and trying to annoy us into lynching him for the next few days.

Night 1

A small Lakitu, riding on a cloud, came into view. He was holding a fishing rod, and at the end of it- although unseen, of course- was the video camera (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT108mpd4aE) he was broadcasting from.

“Well, hello, there! Lakitu Bros. at your service! We’re here to bring you LIVE film coverage of the goings-on at Bowser’s Castle. Tonight we’ve decided to check up on one of the evil king’s minions- he calls himself Cultured Drizzt Fan.”

The Lakitu turned his camera back around to reveal in front of him a steel door, with a paper message taped on it that read, “KEEP OUT! Awesome Koopa Bros. Lair Inside”.

“Let’s see who’s inside, shall we?”

The door opened, and as the Lakitu floated in, only one of the Koopa Bros. was to be found, wearing a black mask and shell.

“Well, there he is! Black Ninjakoopa. And it appears that he’s… sleeping. Yep, it doesn’t look like he’s doing anything else besides that. How very… uninteresting…”

As soon as the Lakitu finished his last word, however, a crash could be heard , but not seen.

“What was that? It came from down the hall.”

Two figures (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra8siQL6lsw) came running through the hallway, and moved right past the Lakitu into the Koopa Bros.’ room, coming into view in the camera. The identity of one of them could be easily determined by his distinct shape.

“It appears Yoshi is inside the castle! And he’s brought a friend with him, too… but I can’t tell who that is… he- or she, or it- doesn’t seem familiar at all.”

The two assailants stared at Black Ninjakoopa. Yoshi growled, but the snoozing Koopa would not awaken. The other figure was completely silent. Finally, Yoshi became fed up and leapt up into the air, ground-pounding the Ninjakoopa’s stomach.

“Yoww! That’s not cool, man! Wait, who are you?? I mean- who dares upset the mighty Koopa Bros.?”

Black Ninjakoopa received an egg in the face as an answer.

“Oh, that’s it! You guys are going down!”

He retreated into his shell and began spinning. Yoshi, however, was not about to let him use his attack- the little dinosaur shot out his tongue and pulled the Koopa Shell into his mouth. He then spat it out at the wall with great force. As the shell ricocheted off the wall, Yoshi’s companion hit it with a backhanded blow, sending it into the next wall. When the shell hit the wall this time, the Koopa wound up landing on his back. He slid out of his shell, dizzied.

“No! My only weakness! How did you know about it?”

A ball of energy began forming at the hand of the second assailant. The ball grew in strength until it was nearly the size of the Yoshi next to it.

“No way, dude! You can’t do this! You can’t kill me! My Bros. will get you for this. I will not go unavenged!”

The energy blast was released and connected directly with Black Ninjakoopa. When the blinding light from the attack faded, all that could be seen where the Koopa had been lying was a pile of dust. The two intruders left the room.

“Well, that was certainly very exciting! Too bad about Black Ninjakoopa, though… but I wonder who that fighter with the energy blasts is…”

Lemmy Koopa’s bedroom doors opened with a slam, waking him up immediately. That was bad news; as with all the Koopalings’ bedrooms, the doors were large, heavy, and steel. Whoever could slam those doors open had to be pretty strong.

A large, hulking figure stood in the doorway. As quickly as he could, Lemmy grabbed his magic wand and hopped on his ball; he wouldn’t be going down without a fight.

“Wh-who are you? Don’t come any closer! This magic wand will make you regret it!”

Lemmy received only an ape-like grunt (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SBz94l89GA) in response. The figure began moving towards him slowly. Lemmy gulped nervously.

“I said stop! I mean it. Stop now!”

The Koopa kid pointed his wand and fired a magical energy burst. Now the intruder moved quickly, dodging and rolling to the right. It raced towards Lemmy on all fours now, stopping short to let loose a gigantic punch. Lemmy flew clean off of his ball, slamming into the wall, but the ball followed him, having been kicked by the intruder. As if being smashed into a wall wasn’t dizzying enough, Lemmy had also been nailed in the head with his own clown ball. The intruder now grabbed Lemmy by the next, lifting his small body effortlessly off the ground.

In his other hand, the intruder held a long object. He lowered it towards the bottom opening of Lemmy’s shell… and then thrust it upward. Lemmy tried to scream, but it came out only as a gurgle, for the end of the object was now protruding from his mouth.

The intruder dropped Lemmy and left the room. As the life faded from Lemmy’s eyes, he could have sworn he tasted… banana.

A dark figure dropped from the pipe hanging from the ceiling.

It made hardly any noise at all, but with his mutant ears along with the rest of his mutant body, Petey Piranha heard it. He could not see the uninvited guest, but he guessed that it was probably his dinner… maybe it would be a juicy plumber this time. Petey rose and began waddling over to the source of the sound, his mouth watering.

It was with great surprise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2AYrzzdPH4), then, that he received a jumping stomp on his head, followed by a somersault and a kick to the back of his head as well. Petey roared and began spewing goop all over the place, in an attempt to trap his attacker.

The trick worked. The apparently clumsy acrobat slipped and fell with a loud yelp. Petey turned towards his prey and opened his mouth, getting ready to feast- but it appeared the attacker would have none of this, as he fed the Piranha Plant with about 1000 volts of electricity.

The attacker followed up with a flurry of punches and kicks directly to Petey’s face. By the end of the attack, Petey was dazed from the pain and confusion; this little fiend couldn’t have been a quarter of the giant Piranha’s size. The attacker now held out his hand as if to perform a karate chop; then, taking a swift lunge forward, he removed Petey’s head from his body. A spark shot from his hands, and ignited the pool of goop around the dead Piranha Plant. With a snicker and a gravity-defying jump, he shot back up into the pipe from which he came.

Two dark figures were still roaming the halls of the castle, late into the night. Perhaps it was chance that they met in the hallway; perhaps one was looking for the other. Whatever the case, it was a fateful meeting.

As one figure, the smaller, rounded the corner, he was greeted with a hail of fireballs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOUEpBPXo_o). He was, however, too cautious to be surprised, and he quickly dodged them all. The fireballs lit his green, bespectacled face up.

“FINK-RAT! Did you think to be the catching of my guard? Who are you being, that causes such an angry fire in my heart? HEADGEAR! The time for lighting is now!”

Fawful laughed his high-pitched laugh, and his headgear fired out a flare that lit the halls. In front of him stood his adversary: Mario.

“I HAVE FURY! It is you, the RED FINK-RAT that I am hating worse than old leftovers! I HAVE VENGEANCE!”

Fawful’s headgear lifted him into the air, and he began spitting out energy blasts rapid-fire. Mario dodged them all and leapt towards his enemy with a grunt, but was blasted away by one last shot. The plumber hit the ground on his feet, though, and pulled out his hammer. When Fawful hovered too close, taunting him, he received a swift hammering to the face.

“ENOUGH! I do not have time to be smelling foul roses such as you! Fawful is an important super villain now! Super-villains do not throw their minutes in the waste with smelly pasta-slurping toilet-decloggers! I will return to have your life when the lateness comes, red FINK-RAT! HAHAHAHAHA!”

Mario attempted to chase him, but Fawful was too quick with his headgear and soon escaped into the shadows.
