Hello,
As fighting stacks after stacks of AI controlled mercenary armies from factions with 1/2 cities is boring to me, i'd like to know if there is a way to severely reduce mercenary recruitment, or disable it trough the text. files.

You have to change \EB\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\DESCR_MERCENARIES.TXT
Backup!
What already helps is to decrease the maximum amount to 1. The refreshment rates can also be dropped.

Should i modify each line individually, or is there a "master" line somewhere?

You have to modify each one, but if you have a nice program (like notepad++) you can just find+replace the 'max 2/3/...' with the desired value.
