View Full Version : Great Room Service

I tell you, I get the best room service imaginable. Heated sheets, breakfast in bed, the works! All thanks to my cat. :P It seems that for the last month, almost every other night she drags a dead rodent onto my bed or at the foot of my bed. (several times into my slippers, and I unknowingly stuck my foot into it)
The worst thing is that sometimes they are not even dead! I hate to be ungrateful, but I think some serious training is in order. :P

She loves you and brings you food! It's really amazing behaviour as cats are solitary creatures by nature.

Yeah, I know she has good intentions, but it is disgusting. :P lol

The dead rodents are a token of your cats love. They are very intelligent creatures, despite some thinking otherwise due to the solitary nature they most often express. You have an outdoor cat I assume. You should ge grateful. I have an indoor cat, and when he wants me to clean his litter box, well, he poops on the floor! He's a great cat! ;)

LOL my cat does that as well, was years ago just got it from my brother, was playing a game and I hear *meow*, I turn around and he makes a dump on the floor and walks off. Point taken. Should have been angry but they would have to reanimate me first

lol A Nerd, I am grateful that she likes me like that, but I cannot be waking up and putting my foot into a half disemboweled, LIVE mouse! It is not how I like to start my mornings. :P
She is a wonderful cat, so I am not gonna punish her. I am just going to start leaving her out at night and closing and fastening the doors. :P

That's a good idea. You might still find these 'tokens of affection' outside your doors and the like, but I guess that is better than in your slippers and in your bed! Cats tend to form habits, therefore your idea will only work if you keep her out. For example (another poop reference), when I lived at home, our cat got locked in my bedroom and couldn't make it to the litter box so he had to releive himself in my room. After that, whenever he couldn't get to the litter box (it was in the cellar and the cellar door sometimes would be closed blocking his access), he would poop in my room, much to my dismay. Another cat, earlier than this when I was a child, would opt for the tub. Cats are wonderful, affectionate creatures, very intelligent as well!

Best solution I hear is to approach the cat on the wall, stroke it, then place it in a bin.

lol, my cat's father used to tear the heads off of rodents and leave them at the door. I think she learned from his bad habits. :P

I assumed the bin is a cage. Not good for an outdoor cat.

Nah some old UK psycho :daisy: dropped a cat in a bin, and it was filmed. These things travel fast, 28.000 people on her anti-her page on facebook so far. She is now under police protection, probably close to death by nervous breakdown by now. Suits her right.

Trash container, owner found her 15 hours later. I am a pretty mellow guy but if someone would do that to my cat it's tongs and pinchers time.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, people waste food all the time, why is everyone jumping down her throat all of a sudden?

I don't know what all the fuss is about

Neither does she, that's why it's best to completely ruin her life.

you need a male cat, so she could start giving the dead rodent to "Him" instead of you
