Role PMs are out.

Premise: According to Dr. Gene Ray, Cubic and World's Wisest Human, opposites are a big part of Time Cube. Each player, with the exception of the two mafiosi, has their opposite number in this game. Seek your opposite out in order to protect the world's harmony and duality. Lose your opposite and the world grows ever closer to falling into darkness. Should all four pairs of opposites lose their balance, then Time Cube will have been forever altered.

Rules: Usual ones apply. No quoting PMs, role or otherwise, no being fancy in trying to get around this rule either. It's a Mini game, shouldn't be that hard.

It is now Night of Sunrise Phase (N1). You have 24 hours to send me orders. Good luck, and have fun! :yes:

I may have to withdraw from this game. I've spent over 8+ hours reading Gene's website (and his book Mr. Marbles--Marbles For Everyone). His work is absolutely extrordinary and has sent me on a research binge into dozens of other topics. I now believe in UFO's and that they are using the sun to access different dimensions, I also believe that there are extra-terrestrial beings on mars and the moon, and the annanaki created us.

I've came to the conclusion that the majority of humans are too ignorant, uninterested and judgmental to become educated on the topic of where we really came from and how the universe works, but I fully understand and at the moment im contemplating on moving to ecuador.

Yes I thought this was how it may appear from an outside perspective. At the time I wrote this I thought the idea was good enough and I still do. There was no point in letting my vote stay on Sasaki on day 1 when only the two of us had been posting. On day 1 usually any vote is as good as the other but here it served a better purpose, than letting it stay on Sasaki... Well it could have, but Civplayah never did talk.

So 2 Sunrises dead mean that 2 Sunrise-Sunset pairs are broken.

I'm just going to straight out say that our odds are really low. IF the remaining Midday/Midnight pair is still intact (which is what we must hope), we must lynch a mafia today, then they have to kill the remaining Sunset member, and then we must lynch the other mafia.

So, guys, mislynch at this point equals failure.

Okay, a couple of things.

1) Don't take the writeups too seriously, since about 60-80% of it was just me directly C&Ping from the Time Cube website. In the ATPG writeup you mentioned, I explicitly put in the fact that he was a Sunset representative, which should have negated any of Gene Ray's insane glory above.

2) Yes, Reenk and Diamondeye were both on the same team... but they weren't. Allow my initial role PM to them to explain:

Evil Oneist Educators

Congrats you two, you're the mafia! In Time Cube, the greatest threat to Cubic teachings are those who would teach otherwise: The evil oneist educators! Their hammerlock on what information gets dispensed threatens the very existence of one of the Time Cube's cornerstones: opposites and duality.

Each player in the game is a representative of one of the four 24-hour day cycles: Sunrise, Midday, Sunset, and Midnight (2 players per cycle) and has their natural opposite, though despite the double roles only one true opposite exists per player. Your job is to break the bond of these opposites by removing them before they have the chance to link up. You can wait for them to link up if you wish, but it will be somewhat harder to remove them then. Do this to all four pairs, and you have won the game! :cheerleader:

...not quite. You see, in the spirit of Oneism, it wouldn't be right for the two of you to exist. Therefore, only one of you may survive this ordeal. The pair of you are allowed to kill any one target at night unless either of you secretly sends me an order to kill your partner, in which case both the innocent as well as the partner will be killed. Make sure to time this right, for if both of you are dead then perhaps the true word of Time Cube may be allowed to spread after all.

This was the twist of the game, that the mafiosi would have to destroy themselves as well as the town in order to win. Upon further correspondence with the two, I told them to "think Prisoner's Dilemma" and that, so long as both of them were still alive, the game wouldn't end. Fortunately for them both, they made a pact to work together until the town had lost all four pairings, which held up. Once I sent them a PM confirming this (also, simple math and writeup analysis would have revealed this to them as well) it was off to the races and thus a mildly amusing final day phase was born.

Players of this game as well as nonparticipating observers will note that this mechanic will factor somewhat in my upcoming Huge game, War in Heaven.

Good game...I never noticed the "cube out of balance" feature until romanic pointed it out to me. We may have won without it, but it was required to prevent breaking the game by fakeclaim, so...

I consider this a win for me too, even if the only winner in GH's book is Reenk. On that topic; Thanks for a good teamwork, RR :bow: Our finale could've been grander (and I could've won :stare:), but I count it as a solid mafia win.

A few comments on the game; First of all, RR and I were very lucky. As far as I see, we only killed both parts of one of the four pairs (we flipped 'heads' four times out of five, if that metaphore makes sense). Also, the night when both of us considered backstabbing each other (heck, RR sent GH a PM with me CC'ed that asked "What if we both want to kill eachother?"), we learnt that if that happened, we'd both die and thus lose the game. So we both hesitated, and in the end, the town decided who of us should live.

I had a lot of fun defending myself this last phase, because the game was in the box for out team. I said lots of things that made sense both as innocent and in this special variant ("only scum will benefit from voting me!"). That was funny..!

Also... Romanic. On Night one... This one made me smile. RR suggested we killed God Emperor on the first night, but since I know him IRL (and several people, including ATPG, are aware of this), I suggested that we killed Romanic instead. The selling point here was that it was decided before Romanic posted the comment I answered.

Finally, of course GE was spot on with accusation of me. I picked Romanic because I consider him a very good player (although, to be fair, there were lots of good people to choose from). I believe RR decided we should kill Landlubber, but I didn't protest.
