Large mafia game for at least 18 players
Rules:
Private communication is allowed.
After death, alignment will be revealed (town, mafia, serial killer, cult), BUT there will be at least one death miller (innocent person, who after death would appear to be mafia, serial killer, or cult)
Specials
All town players are vanilla townies, but...
Players share collective power to jail one character every night. They vote for this every day, together with voting for lynch.
There are also two special power roles:
1. Mayor. At the beginning of the first day, players choose one of them to become a mayor. In case of a tie, mayor decides which of tied players would be lynched (or jailed). He also appoints sheriff.
2. Sheriff. Appointed by mayor (as a night action). Can either protect or track another player at night.
There would be one, two, or three (unlikely, only with more than 20 players) scum factions. It could be mafia, cult, or serial killer.
In case of mafia, one of their members would be designated as a hitman, and he will have to conduct night kills (this rule means that if he is jailed, there is no mafia kill; if any mafia member could attack at night, jailing power would be useful only against SK or cult leader)
It would be near-vanilla mafia, with a non-vanilleness described above.

To be exact, I have to mention that not whole body was found, as right hand and left foot were missing.
Villagers were in shock. For a long time, no-one knew what to do. Then, one of the youngest members of prominent Bensch family approached the body and said: 'We need to investigate this case. There is a murderer among us. Me and my brothers can...'
Old MacKenzie interrupted him. 'Leave, German scum. It's one of you, or of this dirty Poles, who is the murderer! We will use this opportunity to free our village from all who are not of proper blood'.
'Sweet Jesus!' Max Kowalski yelled. 'Sons, go bring the flails. Its time for a serious threshing!'
It seemed that bloodshed is inevitable. But then Hannah, one of the most respected midwives coughed.
'Boys, please behave. We have to be strong in face of this event. I know what we should do. There is old tradition in our village, that in cases like this one we gather every day and hang the most suspicious among us. Then, we repeat this process for as long as we are not sure that we caught the killer'
'But..', 'Wait...', 'Are you sure?', 'What the F?!?' and other shouts emerged from the crowd.
Hannah stood up, and said with steady voice: 'Unless you have better idea...'.
As villagers couldn't get to the agreement, they decided to follow Hannah's advice.
'And don't forget that we have another problem. We must appoint new mayor, as the old one is dead'.
Day 1 begins.

It seemed, that villagers was more interested in the election of new mayor, than in selecting victim of the first lynch. It was quite rational. After all, lynchig will change life of only one individual, while electing mayor will have impact on everyone.
As for lynch, there were many candidates, but none get significant support. In the end, ATPG was chosen
In case of election, it was different. TinCow was leading candidate from the beginning, but the tides changed and Darth Feather gathered voices of few villagers. TinCow finally was elected, albeit with only a little lead. With an applaud, he accepted new post.
Interesting thing is, villagers decided that he will be better leader, if they put him in a jail... It is called 'country-style prevention', and is more old-fashioned than method used in big cities, where you allow officials to steal first. Well, they say it is better to prevent, than to treat.

I did not because the last time it happened, it was ol' B_Ray sparing himself and he got promptly lynched the next day anyway.

Oh, for crying out loud...guys, I'm not particularly patient, either as town or mafia. As town, that explains why I feel that if jailing somebody permanently is a good idea, then lynching them is probably a better one, and allows us to fish around a bit more with our roleblock. As mafia, I most certainly wouldn't have the patience to spend two nights refraining from killing just to frame somebody (not to mention it seems an awful idea strategically).

TinCow is confirmed scum, he attempted to lynch Ishmael who now that we have evidence, did similar to what he did in my game.
Now that leaves us a few options. We don't know if there is 3 or 4 scum out there, so we could in essence kill Tincow and jail/lynch (essentially a double lynch with one surviving), however, since we don't know the numbers that's not something I think we should pursue.
If TinCow isn't the mafia hitman, they're simply wasting opportunities to kill and letting the town doing all the controlling, which I and the rest of the town are happy with.

McCrow doesn't mind bussing, so I doubt that it's him. More likely to be Andres or white eyes.

Tincow is obviously scum and his partners are just jailing him and keeping him alive because that's better than lynching him and town finding out he's guilty. Plus, there's a chance town are suckers and will let him out sometime during the endgame, like that time on South Park where there were a bunch of people who wanted to "free Hat" because obviously he didn't murder any babies, and so they campaigned to let Hat out of jail and he promptly asked for a baby. Presumably, to murder that baby.
So I say "Free Tinhat" and let him murder some people. After all, he's taking up valuable prison space that could be used to house innocent townies.

Honestly, the jailing doesn't even bother me that much. It's the fact that I've been so thoroughly discredited in everyone's minds that its pointless for me to even attempt to argue anything, whether about my own innocence or someone else's guilt. I've certainly been in situations like that before, but they tend to result int a lynch or kill immediately afterwards to put me out of my misery. Having to sit here alive but without the ability to even hold a conversation for day after day is quite miserable.

Been AGES since I've had/wanted/needed to do analysis, and I don't have much better to do now, so I'll indulge in some for a brief time:
Rules:
After death, alignment will be revealed (town, mafia, serial killer, cult), BUT there will be at least one death miller (innocent person, who after death would appear to be mafia)
There would be one, two, or three (unlikely, only with more than 20 players) scum factions. It could be mafia, cult, or serial killer.
Possibility of SalmonSoil being a death miller (highly unlikely considering TC's vote). Now the TC thing is unfortunate for his team (and in general) but it isn't something we can ignore. If the mafia are willing to forego a kill for a long con on TC props to them, that is some ballsy play. But I highly doubt it. And with a serial killer already being revealed, and the mafia hitman being selected randomly via host, it is indeed possible that TC was the hitman. I'm more convinced with the SalmonSoil/Ishmael issue, but feel free to convince me otherwise, I'm always willing to listen if not necessarily follow.
In any case, the best assertion at this stage is to go forth with the assumption that TC and Salmon were scum (would coincides with votes, etc). In that case, voters on the Ishmael wagon (latecomers moreso) have more chance of being scum, and voters on the SS wagon early on have more chance of being town. Hence I've made a few predictions early. Another option that occurs to me is that possibility of a lurker being chosen as mafia hitman. But I don't think that's likely with the playerset and especially if Jarema would let others send in orders for the one person, after all it is simply a team kill through a vessel.
In anycase, proceeding with the above assumption leads to a few options:

This entire analysis is based on the notion that I am scum. I am not scum, therefore the analysis is faulty. I do not blame anyone for making this assumption, I sure as hell would do so if my situation was swapped with anyone else. That said, there is a way to prove this: lynch me. All of us are clearly tired with this jail game. If you lynch me, my role will be revealed and proper analysis can proceed from there. Lynching me also re-opens the mayoral spot, which means we can finally get a sheriff. Lynching me will also let me speak credibly again, which would be nice.

Lynch the Cow (freeing up the Jail) and start cycling through the real suspects.
I think the mafia is getting extremely frustrated with their hitman being jailed night after night. And if it's part of their strategy, then it suits towns' interests very well. In that case, their own strategy is hurting them. If TC is innocent (unlikely, since he asks for his own lynch while keeping him in jail is clearly best for town), then I advice the mafia to swallow their pride and to admit their plan wasn't bright by starting to kill. Of course, what is the chance that he is the last scum? Normally I'd say 2 scum and a serial killer is enough for a game of this size. But on the other hand, if TinCow is the only one capable of killing, then I would definitely give the mafia team at least 3 members.
Visorslash, I appreciate the analysis as I haven't been doing much of it myself. I think Diana is perhaps just lurking as usual, but she does that whether she's town or scum. Rickinator... is tough for me to get a read on. I honestly thought Andres was the right choice, and I'm somewhat surprised to see him innocent. White_eyes looks scummy to me, but that might be because I think he always looks scummy.
It is nice to not be in the suspect list for once, I must say... if it weren't for the fact that there seem to be no night kills I'd say I was next on the chopping block.

The post quoted by rick was made before SalmonSoil was lynched. In that post, he asked for TC to remain in jail, giving as reason that it was better to keep the hitman jailed instead of lynching him, to avoid the mafia getting a new hitman. In tempore non suspecto, SalmonSoil made a valid, pro-town point.
So, with this in the rules:
After death, alignment will be revealed (town, mafia, serial killer, cult), BUT there will be at least one death miller (innocent person, who after death would appear to be mafia)
It is possible SalmonSoil was innocent.
Rickinator doesn't sound particularly scummy to me.
HopAlongBunny on the other hand...

It wasn't the fact that he was advocating jailing TinCow that made him look scummy though, it was the fact that he just assumed that there was a mafia hitman and that the hitman ability would be passed along should the current hitman be killed. This was not public information so naturally everyone became very suspicious when SalmonSoil suddenly brought it up as if it was an obvious conclusion to come to.

I think the assumption made by SalmonSoil was plausible. It doesn't clear SSoil, but I can understand why rickinator9 thinks SalmonSoil could've been the death miller.
It would also make no sense for a mafioso to defend his lynched mafia partner whose role got revealed after death, so I really fail to see why you all jump on rickinator9. Surely, if he were mafia, he wouldn't be defending a guy whose name turned red after death?
To me, that post confirms rickinator9's innocence and doesn't at all make him look suspicious.

If we go by the assumption that SS was indeed mafia, then that post by HAB is extremely scummy.
Add to that that he recently advocated to lynch TinCow instead of jailing him while it should be obvious by now why keeping TC in jail (regardless if he's innocent or not) is towns' interest, and you have a very fishy smelling bunny.

A reasonable explanation for lynching TinCow would be to finish the mafia: 2 mafia + 1 mafia (supposedly TC) dead: mafia finished.
There are things to say for and against that, but you said this:

Your post doesn't make any sense at all.
