If at any point you get to Lylo, with the entire mafia alive, that's 49/50 a mafia win, because villagers do not remember to vote in unison ever.

Yeah I tend to agree.

It took a lot of willpower not to just repost the opening post at the villagers.

But hey, I guessed wrong on spaceman, I'm no better.

Definitely should've only had 2 scum. Sorry town.

I believe this brings my lifetime Mafia Winning percentage at the .org to 2 out of 2.

Yep. In the 5 years and 30-ish games I played here before the last two, I was mafia a grand total of zero times.

Much closer with my hunches earlier in the day, but unfortunately I convinced myself that the Mafia were doing some complicated maneuver when sheer numbers combined with inactivity sufficed.

Second time I let Zack get away with it as obvious scum, but at least this time it wasn't as bad as rejecting my own role evidence against him.

Hell naw.

This is close to the numbers we'd have in the thing on 2+2, less a seer who sucks anyways.

Plus, we had three guesses to be right before game ends, and I've played in a game I enjoyed a whole hell of a lot on GITP which had more players and fewer viable incorrect guesses for town to lose. (Minecraft)

This setup is hard, yes, but perfectly acceptable. I consider this a fair win by the scumbags.

Why was I "obvious scum"? People always say that and yet I keep not getting lynched as mafia.

My own experience has been to excuse your blatant scumminess:

'He's extremely scummy, but I'm probably just being unfairly prejudiced towards his character"

This isn't an unfamiliar psychological trick in the game.

And Pizza is right - a tough game on paper, but ultimately fair.

You felt scummy to me, but less so than spaceman for not being willing to lynch choxorn and his odd desire to lynch DF for signature spoilers going missing. Your vote pattern all game felt wrong.

Ultimately I didn't go after you harder because village was so not active and not talkative and I need a brain to talk to.

Choxorn felt scummy to me, and I wanted to see if two people who felt scummy to me would be willing to vote for the other.

I didn't touch Reidquat though, he doesn't post enough content to read in a small game.

Sorry for missing an entire phase and my low participation, it wasn't my intent to fly so low...just got surprised with a complete load of unexpected troubles. Good game to my scum partners and of course thanks Visor for hosting!

It happens, you don't do it every game, and also good to hear it wasn't intentional.

You know, I think I'm completely over the idea of chasing inactive people just so they can't win the game for being inactive.

That's a boring way to play and a boring way to win.

I think they'll get bumped up to my default Day One vote if it happens a lot, but dropped the instant I find anything scummy.

I also think they should be an early vig target, because why the hell not?

But vote-wise, I don't want to chase people who won't even respond. It's basically playing mafia by yourself. That's way boring.

Na, there is a difference between Town Zack and Mafia Zack. He plays a different game when mafia and had my alarm going all game...

Overall really just a Meta vibe. Just felt off. I saw you play mafia in the christmas game and felt there was some simliarities here. A bit more care about where and how you voted. Simultaneously, you were acting different in this game compared to the two others I am currently playing with you in. If you're not townie in Battlestar, I'll eat my hat.

Good job mafia team. Like i said earlier. I could not read anything out from Zack. You make so many moves and turns, that it is pretty much impossible to say if you are scum or being yourself.

Better luck next time for the town. Considering the setup. I think it is completely fair. Vanilla is supposed to hard, very hard and i am enjoying myself immensely. Thanks for the game Visor!:2thumbsup:

So I either need to be less reckless when town or more reckless when mafia. :book2:

Shortly after I got lynched in this game I realized that most forums have a "hide signiture" option (though I still can't find this one's). oops.

I guess I should have voted choxorn after all XD

I spent most of my death convinced that Pizza was scum, and pulled off the same thing I was trying to do in Mafia Game in the East (set up two random townies to hang day 1, someone random who isn't on your team breaks the tie, lynch first townie 1, then tiebreaker, then townie 2, look like your contributing while really wasting three days for the town). Turns out pizza was right about chox after all

Zack

Not really. I mean yes choxorn was scum, but iirc Pizza suspected choxorn because he saved you, a townie.

Scumbags making moves to save townies is also scummy.

Why would you know someone isn't mafia as a townie in a vanilla game?

Almost all defensive behavior is strange to me. I do it sometimes but I recognize it being high risk and ill-advised in a vanilla game as a villager.

He didn't actually "save" spaceman at all, though. He was the second person to vote edse, at the very start of the day.

Only applies to vanilla games, really.
