Eygptian emissary, poking at his pudding, speaks to his Sicilian counterpart:
Tell me my friend, is it your lord's custom to serve his guests offal?
Sicilian diplomat: Shhhh It is certain death to defame the haggis at King Angus' table
Angus of Sicily? O where are the Bohemonds, the Tancreds, the Rogers and Roberts? And why can't I build clansmen now?

There were many Scottish noblemen of Norse heritage. Since Sicily was a Norman kingdom, the kings had Norman names. Obviously this man has his roots as a Norse/Norman noble in Scotland http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

This problem bothers me as well. Does anyone know how to go about fixing it? Or even better, are there any downloads with a fix included?

It's not a problem, that's how the game is supposed to be. The Scots (some of them) are descended from Norse settlers who settled in Normandy. Half of the Normans went to conquer England (William the Conqueror) and half of them went to conquer Sicily. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Yeah but I don't think any of them became king of Sicily (Not dissing the highlanders now, in case you're one of them - put down that claighmore).
It's seems the Norman Sicilians got folded into the Italian hero list. The Hauteville clan properly belongs to Sicily.
On the other hand, king Angus is rather well regarded so I'm not that bent out of shape about it. I can't speak for the citizens of Palermo who have to put up with impromptu bagpipe solos from the royal balcony however.

I recommend you consult a list of the names of Norman rulers of Sicily. If the name list was an intentional addition, it was a poorly informed one.

Are you the final arbiter on what is and is not a legitimate question to ask or point to make on this board? Stop wasting everyone's time with that sort of nonsense. All it does is breed bad feelings.
