I've been fooling around and modding the Seleucids by giving them the units of other greek factions. Everything has been going fine and I've been able to build/fight with everything up to now (and yes I fixed all the unit cards etc.). I'm not sure but there may be a limit on the number of possible unique units a city is allowed to have listed in its recruiting menu.
Initially, I ran into this after I had all the top lvl barracks/stables/ranges which gave me quite a large number of recruitable units. After building a blacksmith which allowed me to produce chariots I entered the recruiting menu which resulted in a CTD. I did have smiths at other cities so I didn't think that was the reason for the CTD. I ended up destroying the smith which then allowed me to enter the recruiting menu without a CTD. To do more testing, I upgraded my port to a shipwright to give me another unit which also lead to a CTD on entering. To make a long story short, I ended up destroying the shipwright after which I build docks and then upgraded my market to a forum (giving me another buildable unit) which resulted in another CTD.
Has anyone else run into a CTD problems after hitting a "cap" on the number of different units a city can recruit? I have tried adding -show_err on my target line but as of yet I have not been able to get it to work.
