The chatserver banned a range of IP addresses to block spammers/bots that were using IP ranges also used in Turkey.

Mouzafphaerre suffered the same thing. Not a nice thing, not at all.
Mouzafphaerre passed his IP info to me in a PM and I could talk about it with the ETG people. They excluded Mouzafphaerre's IP (subrange) instantly.

The ETG can also contacted by users about these things, you got the e-mail addy LeftEyeNine?

Regarding the IRC channel (remember kids, IRC > javasux), the channel #tworg to which the tool above links your mIRC program is not registered with the ChanServ of the WyldRyde server. I can register it for you all and become chanadmin with the abilities to op people and whatnot, but since this is the forum's channel I'd rather ask the authorities here first.

So, is it allowed, or do I first need to ask the admins? ~:)

Once it's registered it can be protected from unwanted outside messages (that extremely annoying "raw" thing) as well as be able to dispense ops so that people can set topics and whatnot. Trust me, a website like the Org needs a registered IRC channel ~;)

And it's such an easy process, too. No cost involved. I just need the green light. Perhaps I'll PM an admin...
