This is something that I've been thinking about for a while now.

In EB, for heavy infantry, how much faster is the running animation than the walking one? Light Infantry? Cavalry?

I'm looking for a ratio really.

Are the charge animations going to be faster than the running ones? What percentage faster?

What I mean is, you'll notice that the cavalry gets a bit of extra speed right before it hits a unit. This may be the case too with infantry, I just haven't noticed it yet.

Duke John calculated the speeds used in RTW: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=647370&postcount=6

So infantry does have a slightly faster charge speed.

Knowing EB, I'm thinking the speeds will all be what they would, as close as anyone can know, to what the speeds of these units would be in rl. Though, I don't know if anyone has actual stats on the speed of a charging armored elephant. :)

Well, if I may say something about that...

People said that the running speeds of the heavy and light infantry was too fast...

I can agree with the heavy infantry being too fast, I would say a 20-30 % drop in speed is good (not the 50+% they have in RTR)

But the light infantry running speeds are near appropriate no more than a 10% decrease is necessary. The gear on the average light infantryman in RTW is quite light, barely anything at all.

I honestly think all the cavalry and elephant speeds are appropriate, the slowdowns they made in RTR to cavarly speeds was really annoying
