View Full Version : trouble adding arab cavarly unit into BI

i dont know where i've gone wrong. it keeps crashing before it loads into the game, i.e. shortly after double clicking the shortcut.

i thought it might be because i kept alternating between "cavarly" and "cavalry"...but it's most likely the entry i've got in descr_model_battle


this is what i have in the units file:

i've most likely got the model wrong, correct?

thanks to whoever can sort this out for me, i'm a bit of a newbie at customising this.
although i did make a nice unit of captains.

i'm now reinstalling everything...:( it's still crashing even after taking the new entries out

it's OK i've figured out what i did wrong!

for some reason there are horse files in the RTW models file with the tag "horses_light", instead of "light horses". and including that in the BI file makes the game crash!

also for some reason, adding dictionary entries for the new unit causes the unit card to be replaced with the mysterious rebel peasant, because before i did that, i had the original arab cavalry card
