The weather is outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

So, what's the weather like right now for all you .Organisms? For the last 2 and a half hours we've had constant snow here in Yorkshire, which has occasionally become a blizzard. It's about a foot deep. Looking outside now, it's going through a 5 minute spurt of being a blizzard, going nearly vertical. My other window, the big ceiling window is covered in snow and i can't see anything out of it.

So, what's the weather like for you? Include detailed descriptions, and if possible, pictures from the nearest window, or alternatively, where you sitting as you type.

EDIT: Included a link for the picture, rather than show the actual picture, as it was apparently warping the size of the page.

We had a very strange wintry mix in Michigan yesterday. It started the night before with a light freezing mist, which went to freezing rain, which went to snow, which then, for a few minutes, turned into tiny falling snowballs that were about a half-centimeter in diameter. It thawed out later in the day.

Soft Southener!? I'm only 7 miles from Huddersfield, probably twenty miles from you. Obviously there's a great difference in weather.

All that lousy weather from England is coming right at us in Denmark, today was a grey day with light snow.

Its been great.:2thumbsup:

Loads of snow, though it does not stick much. We don't normally get much snow in Liverpool because we are next to the sea.

Right now it is a bit cool and there is still some snow around. It is too dark to take pictures as there are only two street lights near my window then a big dark field.

Yup. It's nice today though, 34 and sunny.

Well here it is very cold, but that is mainly due to the wind. I have no idea what the temp is, but earlier when I walked to the Vet's Home it was cold enough to make my face and ears feel like needles were slamming into them all across, so pretty cold, but not cold enough (without wind) to freeze snot so I'd guess not below zero (F).

The light outside is blinding...

Hurrah! Happy happy sunshine! Because my webcam is designed to catch as much light as possible, it looks like a nuclear weapon has detonated outside. Plus, snow glare from that house you can see in my original picture doesn't help.

EDIT: Forgot there was another overly large picture.

I was singing that yesterday morning in school, when there was a nice heavy snow fall all morning. There are grey clouds just now but nought else, and the remnants of yesterday's snow still lie

A picture? Very well. I had to use longer exposure in order to make anything at all visible.

The Weather down here is like my Girlfriends mood, changing daily. 2 weeks ago it was a blamy 75-80 all week then droped to 19 and snow in a day. Last weekend it rained all the way through, and now it was near the 90's all week, in March :shame: . I believe someone better give god a PMS pill, becuase the constant changing is iritating.

Storm rolling in from the north, putting the ka-bosh on "sunny" southern California. We might get a little rain (<1 inch), the mountains (25 miles east) should get some snow.

We're back to the gloom here. It was looking okay for a few days.

We have similar weather in Germany. My girlfriend went to work this morning, leaving in a snow-chaos, drove only 20 min but where she arrived there wasn't any snow at all. At home the snowing stopped at noon and thawed in less than an hour. 3 hours later it started again, even hailed and now the ground is covered again. :inquisitive:

It was raining today. I don't mind it, I just don't like the cold when I'm under dressed.

Cold but not snowing. Whenever it snows it melts as well, never has a chance to settle. Getting warmer now, and raining instead.

After the snow and frost, a return to normalcy. The sky is completely one tone of grey and it's been drizzling all day.

Same here. When I first arrived, I thought it was kind of dumpy, but it certainly grows on you. That one was from Muswell Hill looking down into, mostly, Crouch End.

Raining. I actually like it a bit. It reminds me of home to have cold stuff hitting my face when I walk around outside. (ohhhh.:laugh4:)

Weather - not much change here. The colour of grey in the sky is a bit darker, and it's now raining on/off instead of constantly.

It was actually sunny today. Such is highly unusual, and highly welcome. :book:

The weather - the grey sky is now much lighter compared to yesterday. It's still raining, not heavily though. It's like a giant with a lisp is standing over the country, trying to say 'seven slithery snakes'.

It's pouring down rain and around 55 F (Around 12 C, I think).

I haven't seen snow for a while, except in pictures, right now its rainy, and the high today was like 13 degrees Centigrade

Mikeus Caesar

I don't know why i bother reporting the weather anymore - all that changes is the tone of the sky and the amount of rain.

Sky - dark grey. It's a bit like dusk, but it shouldn't go dark for another 35 minutes.

Rain - Heavy stuff, for the last 3 hours. Had to walk my little brother home in it. Got soaked.

Also it's about 6 C here, about 44 F I think.

Not very dramatic-looking right? A little snow/slush...

Until you realize that its half-inch hail falling to a depth of 4 inches in 15 minutes, and this is 'sunny' California! Leafy plants are decimated (the tree in the foreground is now 'naked'), and local avocado and orange groves are bust for the season.

I was out in the stuff this afternoon. I had raingear on, including a hard-plastic pith helmet; the noise was deafening. It stopped as suddenly as it started, and then folks came out with cameras (including Mrs. Kukri, who took this shot of the street in front of our place). Local weather guys say the temp spiked from 55F down to 35F, then back up to around 50F the rest of the day.

Weird stuff.

Yay, the weather finally changed. It's been snowing since some time this morning, and there's just over an inch of the white stuff everywhere, except the pavements, which got gritted last night while i was walking on them with friends. We all got hit in the face with it.

The snow is quite consistent, a constant downpour of small flakes. According to the weather forecast, it should stop tonight.
