View Full Version : The Myth about a Life

I'm richer than when I left this place though i wouldnt leave it for a second. I'm a traveler who wants to share his experience with those stuck by the magic of this place. I'm going to tell you about a thing called a Life.

before i left, i believed like you that life whas something made up by Bandits to lure innocents forumvisitors to the open where they could be tricked into doing wrong. but when i decided to make the great journey to the Outside world, i learned more and more about the miracle called a Life. I walked outside very careful foot by foot, but soon i started to walk faster and it took not long before i could run. Run people i mean is there anything greater?

i even forgot about the org for a while and enjoyed what you all could do with a Life. play in nature, go to hookers, play football and have a real fight. A real one that hurts and that doesnt have a stupid AI that screws things up.

but after a while i started to feel homesick, i felt the world of sarcasm and i missed my dad, my journey to discover the miracles of a Life was over. but i enjoyed it. and i will once go back, when im old and im dying.

I recommend all of you to go outside and get A LIFE

Life is really an interesting thing. I have been more into life lately- I am very much a lurker now (although I continue to post, which I thought I would not... just very infrequently. I will probably stop for a while, just to see how it develops.) You can feel your emotions much more strongly when you are living your life.

Try this for a change, all who can: get a copy of the "Clockwork Orange" soundtrack, preferably on LP. Watching the movie a few times helps to build the right kind of associations with this music, ideally raw violence, brutal rape, government brainwashing, grotesque politicians who plan on instilling a totalitarian system, and the like. Then, sit down for a while with a glass of fine wine and just relax to the visions of red red kroova, a little in-out in-out, and poor poor Alex with his glazzies taped open, screaming in agony.

I don't like life - too many small challenges with lousy AI, like the small rebel armies in RTW 1.2 (or was it 1.3?). No real big fights, no epic feeling, and the soundtrack sucks - it's just good graphics without gameplay I tell ya. There are much better games out there, with more depth and better AI, with respawn capabilities and proper quick load/quick save features for when it gets too hard. Life just has a single life, no save/load functions, and as a result the challenges are made easier to balance to the lack of save/load features. It's also pretty buggy - you can strive hard as **** and be a great player, then you get hit by a bus or random artillery spam (if you are in a "war" stage of the game)...

Granted the AI can be terrible and bugs abound (we're still waiting for the next patch), but the soundtrack is very good and the Easter Eggs hidden in the game are a riot.

True, but that was in an earlier version, in the latest version they have removed support for phalanxes and cavalry completely... :furious3: But the easter eggs are cool... :2thumbsup:

What you describe here isn’t a bug but more the irritating aspects of the game.

I, however experienced a true bug.
Will never forget this,…

Fast backwards 5 years:
I was 17 and just brought my one-nightstand to the train station.
It was 6 o’clock am.
After dropping her of I felt the indescribable urge to get a good-morning-just-had-great-sex-cup of coffee.
So went in to the nearest open pub and ordered.
While drinking this amazingly cup of coffee I was staring trough the window.
Then in the far distance I saw a bus with the destination “Kasteel str”. (castle road).
Nothing unusual about this, except the fact that I shouldn’t have been able to read its destination, since I wear far distance glasses, and those where still on my desk.
So dumbfounded I was staring at those letters when they suddenly started to fade away in the normal acceptable blur I usually see at that distance.
It took another minute before the bus was close enough to read it again.:inquisitive:
