Yeap, what watch do you currently own? Watches are very very popular, and will always be. They are very stylish(1) and useful(2). ~:)
I own a Tissot T-Race "Nicky Hayden".
A blue and silver fossil. I have it on right now. It's not cheap, nor very expensive. I think around $50 or 60 USD.

A Swiss Army Ground Forces Chronograph Watch.
A Low End, of the Higher Priced Watches, (about 570$). I could just never buy something like a Rolex.

Those are pretty neat, if not a bit overpriced.

Watches are not overpriced , unless they are rubbish or fakes , or unless you think a short days wages is a good monthly salary ~;)

Usually, I don't wear them, I don't like time 'getting all up in my...'. I've got a movado, god knows what silly italian sounding name they gave it; my pocket watch, it's also my cell phone; and, a $15 timex that I had to buy for chemistry.:balloon2:
Being Swiss (inventors of time), I have a Bucherer Limited Edition Titanium Watch. Unsure about the price (quite dear) as it was a gift.
It had to be titanium because anything else I will just break...

I have a Macdonalds happy meal watch from like 8 years ago - amazingly it still works, its a shame its bright yellow with a picture of a clown on the front
A Luminox Navy Seals watch. Takes a beating, is water-proof, and the dial/hands glow so brightly in the dark I will probably have a huge melanoma patch on my wrist 5 years from now. :laugh4:

Red Timex Ironman.
For $20 it tells you the date, time; can function in both 12 and 24-hour time, can light up, and waterproof to 100m.
All about practicality. :toff:

I have a $50 (? christmas present) timex. It still works (except sound) 6 years later while my sister went through 2 or 3 of the $20 ones. Haven't worn it for years though, I don't see the point in watches.

As Hector was a breaker of horses, so I am a breaker of watches, therefore mine's one of those rugged Casio G-Shock things. Serviceable for snorkelling and diving as well.

I use my iPod mainly.
Once I was cleaning out my room, and needed a watch. I found one I had recieved four or five years ago from Nintendo, free. To my suprise, it was only thirteen minutes off.
That's insanely good quality for something I got free with a subscription.

Not the foggiest, just a 120 quid Tissot. Got it a few years ago, one battery change, still works fine. Hardly ever take it off - feel naked without a watch on. Does the job - time and day of month... Anything else is unnecessary in a watch - like a mobile that has MP3s.
I had a Rolex once. The Explorer model. Simple face watch with no fancy stuff. Cost me a cool $1000. It was gorgeous and I loved it.
Then I lost it to a pawn shop on a $400 loan when I was dirt poor. Stupid? Oh yeah.
Just two weeks ago I got back my Swiss Amry watch that I had left at a client's house for two years. Nice watch, paid $70 brand new and it was worth $250. The store had a box full and just wanted them gone.
I still miss my Rolex... :embarassed:

Not owned a watch for over 25 years now. Funny thing is, like a TV -- I DON'T MISS IT!! Though I must admit in the last couple of years I've had a mobile which doubles up as my alarm clock, and the rest of the time you can always find the time without lugging it around with you all day :laugh4:

A trusty Moretime.
A relativly cheap analog watch that has served me well for about a decade now :2thumbsup:
Will always make me separate between my right and left hand, even if I don't wear it. :laugh4:

I use mine cell phone usually. No need for time when you are a hard worker, or a really poor one.

A Casio of some sort. It's about two years old, the strap has broken off twice and then been glued back on. It's a damn good watch. I feel naked without it.

@Quid
Mine is a Tissot T-Race Limited Edition, only 4999 of this model have been built. I got it really cheap, after some serious bargaining with the shop owner, a Jew. ~D

$20 Timex Walmart Special. Yep. I'm stylin'.

I have no money, and can barely afford 30p cans of tomato soup. My Sekonda broke yesterday, and my plastic casio won't light up anymore...
Swatch irony, a simple aluminium watch ... served me well these past years, that and it is really hard to damage (at least, hard when doing normal stuff, like hitting a wall with your arm).
Shows the date and, uh, the time? The pointer thingies also glow in the dark.

I have a Junghans Solar Ceramic in black. Charged by the sun (not the best choice in Ireland ) and checks the time by radio from the caesium clock in Stuttgart.
Had it for ten years and it is still perfect. Cost me an arm an a leg, but well worth it.

Timex Ironman. It is blue and has the niftiest light up feature I've ever seen on a watch, you have to see it to understand, but it's really just that the colors are cool. It is covered in paint from when I did a favor for my boss this summer, and works great. I don't go anywhere except the shower without it.
Oddly enough a friend of mine and I bought the exact same watch seperately without knowing it, though we have always bought the same basic type of watch before this, so it's not that unexpected.
The last one I had was awesome, eventually the straps broke off, and I started using it as a pocket watch. Then on the way home from a job interview on the last day of school I lost it because of a damned branch!!! I felt naked at work without it....
I don't know why I just shared that story, but I did.

I wear a G-Shock digital, one of the smaller ones; It's chrome. It's somewhat worse for wear now, I might look into getting a new one soon.

I used to always get Casio digitals. They had alarms and such for about $13.
Then, my first finacee decided I had to move up a notch in class and bought me a analog Fossil (my selection with her help). It eventually broke (but it outlasted the relationship).
I now have an analog Timex from Target.

That's just greed and laziness.
I have one watch, but two arms. The other arm is a spare in case I lose one. Then I can swap the watch over.
See, always thinking. ~;)
I were a fossil, stainless steel band. It was a gift so I don't know the price. Its near impossible to break, and has saved my wrist from shattering on more then one occasion. Heck the watch has taken the full brunt of a mortar tupe hiting it and my wrist and still ticks along in perfect harmony.

I've had this watch for over a decade. It's a little practical joke I play on myself (and anyone trying to read the time over my shoulder).

*looks at watch*
A Seiko, and a real one, it's about 20 years old I guess, but it works, apart from one of the button for the Chronograph
I've got a simple Timex Ironman watch, grey and black. It tells time, has a light, can time things and such all for 30 dollars.
Last analog watch I had was a Casio, I took it to Iraq with me but the heat I guess caused the parts to swell and shrink the hands and for the central hours of the day it wouldn't tell time because the hand couldn't move, stupidest watch ever!

i love watches and i sell them starting at $100 bucks and up. Once, i sold a $15,000 Patek Phillippe. It was awesome and i made $1,350 from that sale

My perfectly formed wrists are too perfect to be covered up by a watch.
