Default What watch do you have?

Yeap, what watch do you currently own? Watches are very very popular, and will always be. They are very stylish(1) and useful(2).

    I own a Tissot T-Race "Nicky Hayden".

A blue and silver fossil. I have it on right now. It's not cheap, nor very expensive. I think around $50 or 60 USD.

A Swiss Army Ground Forces Chronograph Watch.

A Low End, of the Higher Priced Watches, (about 570$). I could just never buy something like a Rolex.

Watches are not overpriced , unless they are rubbish or fakes , or unless you think a short days wages is a good monthly salary

Usually, I don't wear them, I don't like time 'getting all up in my...'. I've got a movado, god knows what silly italian sounding name they gave it; my pocket watch, it's also my cell phone; and, a $15 timex that I had to buy for chemistry.

Being Swiss (inventors of time), I have a Bucherer Limited Edition Titanium Watch. Unsure about the price (quite dear) as it was a gift.

It had to be titanium because anything else I will just break...

A Luminox Navy Seals watch. Takes a beating, is water-proof, and the dial/hands glow so brightly in the dark I will probably have a huge melanoma patch on my wrist 5 years from now.

    Red Timex Ironman.

For $20 it tells you the date, time; can function in both 12 and 24-hour time, can light up, and waterproof to 100m.

    All about practicality.

I have a $50 (? christmas present) timex. It still works (except sound) 6 years later while my sister went through 2 or 3 of the $20 ones. Haven't worn it for years though, I don't see the point in watches.

As Hector was a breaker of horses, so I am a breaker of watches, therefore mine's one of those rugged Casio G-Shock things. Serviceable for snorkelling and diving as well.

    I use my iPod mainly.

Once I was cleaning out my room, and needed a watch. I found one I had recieved four or five years ago from Nintendo, free. To my suprise, it was only thirteen minutes off.

That's insanely good quality for something I got free with a subscription.

Not the foggiest, just a 120 quid Tissot. Got it a few years ago, one battery change, still works fine. Hardly ever take it off - feel naked without a watch on. Does the job - time and day of month... Anything else is unnecessary in a watch - like a mobile that has MP3s.
Don't have any aspirations - they're doomed to fail.

I had a Rolex once. The Explorer model. Simple face watch with no fancy stuff. Cost me a cool $1000. It was gorgeous and I loved it.

Then I lost it to a pawn shop on a $400 loan when I was dirt poor. Stupid? Oh yeah.

Just two weeks ago I got back my Swiss Amry watch that I had left at a client's house for two years. Nice watch, paid $70 brand new and it was worth $250. The store had a box full and just wanted them gone.

    I still miss my Rolex...

Not owned a watch for over 25 years now. Funny thing is, like a TV -- I DON'T MISS IT!! Though I must admit in the last couple of years I've had a mobile which doubles up as my alarm clock, and the rest of the time you can always find the time without lugging it around with you all day

    A trusty Moretime.

A relativly cheap analog watch that has served me well for about a decade now

Will always make me separate between my right and left hand, even if I don't wear it.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

A Casio of some sort. It's about two years old, the strap has broken off twice and then been glued back on. It's a damn good watch. I feel naked without it.

I could never aford a Rolex.

    @Quid

Mine is a Tissot T-Race Limited Edition, only 4999 of this model have been built. I got it really cheap, after some serious bargaining with the shop owner, a Jew.

Swatch irony, a simple aluminium watch ... served me well these past years, that and it is really hard to damage (at least, hard when doing normal stuff, like hitting a wall with your arm).

Shows the date and, uh, the time? The pointer thingies also glow in the dark.
