Post here a list of bugs or inconsistencies you are finding in the game ....

So far ...

Archers in tutorial load their arrows like in rtw from side and not from their quiver on the back...

Water in the tutorial demo flows from coast to coast not along the river direction....

Arquebusiers are slow to react , sometimes they stand without taking the orders and their animations for changing row are very unnatural.

some dismounted knights when killed get stuck mid-air.

The flaming arrows causing dudes to spontaneously combust.

Trees models stick out of terrain if on severe slopes

many times killed soldiers stick in the ground unrealistically instead of following the terrain inclination....

Some sprites seem not to match the correct unit ....

Mounted units's moves don't hit the foot ones and vice versa , they just have uncollided kills....

Well I played the game on lower graphics for units to avoid Lag at it actually still looks very good. However the Sprites for the French Crossbowmen in Pavia are like Brown peasants. When I zoom in they return blue. I don't know whats they are like on higher settings. In demo, Sprites are incomplete for some units. I guess that will be fixed for MTW II.

I'm wondering how much optimizing and updating can be done between the release of the demo and the official launch, which is what, 4 weeks away? I imagine the game has to be shipped a week in advance, at least?

Probably not much. Even if there are a few irksome bugs or imbalanced units to deal with there may not be enough time to update the code and send it off to Q&A for adequate testing in time to make the shipping date. I think it's safe to say that CA is pretty much limiting themselves to some minor tweaking and polishing right now. For all we know the final release candidate has already been selected and is currently being put through rigorous last minute testing. Any bugs found in the final release candidate that aren't stand outs or show stoppers would be relegated to the patch list.

Usually a game has to have gone gold and the gold master sent to the factories at least a week or two before shipping.
