I've noticed that in battles the unit I send first into battle usually get casualties healed at the rate 25%, whilst later sent units don't get any or very few.

This might be important if you say charge with your feudal knights first, rather than say use a sacrifice charge of pilgrims.

Thats my impression anyway, anyone have a better thought than this?

I havn't been able to track other posts on this topic.

BTW are there any doctors or healer traits to further reduce casualties.?

Well, if the enemy takes prisoners due to routing and you won the battle, the prisoners that you have freed count as being healed. Since the units first into battle are the ones that rout the earliest, that will probably account for thir higher casualty healing

@xdeathfire - that's quite likely, although not many player armies rount :laugh4:

@razor - yes, i believe that the muslim factions have a 'hospital' series of buildings that let you pick up ancilleries like that

Yep, Bimaristans lets you pick up doctors if you stay in the settlement. Also, you can pick them up if you lose more than 50% of your army in a battle.
