I've started a campaign with the parthian faction in VH/VH (the same with Baktria was too easy...). I've soon invaded the backtrian cities and conquered all of them, but now my cities have been attacked by several eleutheroi armies (with baktria in the same territories it didn't happen). Why such difference?

First of all you probably had luck in the VH/VH Bactria campian.
2. As every faction in EB the Eleutheroi behave diferent in every campian, sometime being extremly pasive, another time being highly agresive.
3. how long have you play the campain? because on WH battle dif., some midclas units can thear your elits to shreads. And i dont sai nothing about the AI elits, especialy AS monstre, whit almoust unlimited founds and unit production.

2. OK

3. The Baktrian campaign? Enough to build a solid economy with very high income (but the income is positive almost from the start) and armies with elite units and elephants that easily conquered territories. I've not faced many elite seleukid units and they weren't so aggressive...

You were lucky, in me VH/M Pahlava campain, almoust every army after 252 had at least 3 units of higher phalangs or 2 of elits. Well the ones that come from the west, the fev from the east are not worth noticing

You must be either very lucky or very very good as in my current bactrian campaign i have been fighting the seleucids back and forth in east asia and the situation is still dangerous for me.And i am playing it in vh/h

You are Very Lucky indeed. I am fighting a three-front war against Saka, Pahlava and AS, and this is only 266BC mind you. And this is me, with only one 10 unit army and another 7-unit one. I haven't been able to save up any money for mines at all, so I'm making only something like 200 mnai every turn. Thank goodness at least that the Eleutheroi are passive this campaign or I may well give it up and go find easier prey among the Qarthadastim.

I'm only playing on VH/M, by the way. Any suggestions on how to deal with a Pahlava fullstack army consisting mostly of Mardians, 6-7 units of horse archers, coupla Nizag Gunds and the faction leader and heir's bodyguards? I don't think my combined Baktrian army of 10 foot archers and slingers, 3 pantodapoi phalangitai and 4 bodyguards can handle them, and I don't dare risk them cos once it's defeated that's the end of my faction.

You must destroy Saka soon: even in VH/VH your light phalanx are stronger than horse arcers if you attack their cities (not in open space). The only problem are the super-strong generals...

The income with Baktra is high form the start, you can build lots of mines. Surely Pahlava is much more difficult becouse they have got bad governors and expensive units.
