I want to make the Handgunners look like Religious Fanatics. Which part of the handgunner's mesh and textures do I have to change in the battle_models.modeldb file?
Well you'd have to actually edit the .mesh files first, then change the textures.
Why would I have to edit the mesh (I don't mind them not having guns)?
So you wouldn't mind if they used thier clubs like they were arquebuses?
No, I'm making a fantasy mod and want to made Mages. I plan to use religious fanatics (who look like wizards) and handgunners (their weapons cause fear and ranged damage like magic).
The gun is part of the MESH file, attached to the weapon bone. The club for the fanatics is the same.
When the game uses the fanatics mesh, it will move the model as if it were a handgunner, including raising the club like a gun. You need to remove the mesh part ... which means editing the mesh file itself to remove the gun. It's not just a question of texture or text files.
