If Venice is taken, should the Empire occupy or exterminate the city?
(Sacking is forbidden by House Rules)

This is your chance to influence the course of (fictional) history in the Comnenian Restoration AAR (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=88477)

Feel free to post with the reasoning behind your vote.

I didn't vote cause I think that you should do what ever is practical, and fits in game. If it has a high population and public order issues, then exterminate, If it was a tough battle with Venice really putting a hurting on your general or taking out a large part of your forces then exterminate. If not then don't.

BTW, it's a really awesome AAR so far, I'm hoping that you'll see it through all the way to a full Roman restoration.

Venice is a rich city, if you keep it intact and orderly you will rapidly earn far more reward from occupying it than exterminating it. It addition, it sits in a highly defensible position and makes a good border town.

Well the Venetians just sallied out unexpectedly (Their overconfidence is their weakness!) so we'll see what happens in the next report.

Good question, I think rebel, but I'll look into it.

Venice is to good a city to harm, occupy it and garrison it.
