Descritption.

So you've bitten the big one and instead of pushing up daisies your loved ones decided it would be best to sell your body to science. This survey will tell you approximately how much money they'd get for it. Cadaver values are primarily based on overall health and the level of interest your corpse holds to the medical research industry.

I took it and my body is worth, $4840. :laugh4:

Congratulations, your dead body is worth $5050!

Let's see how much I can get it up to.

-edit- $10,440 is the best so far. But that means I'm a 7-foot tall albino that's a vegetarian. :laugh4:

-edit again- $11375.

Well, I'm actually going to be pretty worthless, as I'm an organ donor. They can have whatever they want out of me, then just burn the rest. I'm very much a 'in-your-body', not a 'you-are-your-body' kind of guy.

Big King Sanctaphrax

I'm going to donate mine to my medical school. It seems a bit churlish to reap the benefits of dissecting somone and then not repay the favour.

That's about what it would cost to put your dead self in the ground though. So instead of your family paying out they get a payday.

But maybe I answered one or two questions a bit more in my favor.:sweatdrop:

3940. Crappy diet, and I'm overweight. Plus my brothers-in-law and sister-in-law have told me just wonderful stories about what happens to bodies that are dissected in medical school.

No, this is NOT an invitation to share your own horror tales BKS. Some of us have or are about ready to eat lunch.

Umm, sure. Of course, I don't plan on dying any time in the next 50 years or so, so I'm figuring that by the time I do die, I ought to be worth at least 7,000 due to inflation.

In fact, it does! Now it's time to cancel all of our life insurance, 'cause our corpses are worth so much! Oh, wait, they aren't ...

Doesn't insurance count for anything? Payday for the wifey and wee one!

KukriKhan

$3890 answering honestly. (Must be the age thing).

But, surprise!!

$5385, trying to pick the most obviously bad choices. Maybe they'd like to study my cirrosissed liver, or how, at age 71+ I'd survived multiple surgeries, diabetes, and daily over-exposure to sun and toxic substances. :laugh4:

edit: I keep trying to guess the most worthless cadaver (i.e. less than $1,000), but can't break the seeming $2500 threshold. Is that the going rate for 'ho-hum' average cadavers, I wonder? GH seems to have found the upper limit of $11,000+

I'm not really impressed.
I think I'm going to convince my girlfriend to mummify me and tour the countryside whith my remains when I kick the bucket. I, I mean she, ought to get at least that tenfold. (Isn't ego a wanderful thing?)

Early 20's, never smoked, never drank, no tanning, serious surgery or diseases, no chemical exposure, no psychosis, no diabetes, and I've even got a decent head of hair . . .

A measly $4290

Where did I go wrong? What have I done to my poor corpse? Is it all in the poor eyesight? The mediocre diet?

The eyes are actually one of the more expensive organs on this calculator, so yes, perfect eyesight helps increase your dollar amount.

We have the same profile, except that I'm almost 30, drink alcohol on a regular basis, have bad eyes and have had a hernia.

Yet my body is worth $ 635 more than yours... :inquisitive:

If it's for a medical school they'll probably like to see some strange things to study them. What occasional drinking does to you liver, your eyes, etc.

Actually, that calculator is pretty simple. Drinking, smoking, tanning, etc. ruin the "integrity" of your body and lowers its value (not to mention its condition) -- presumably medical researchers can't do much with a ruined body affected by too many external factors to accurately measure "you." However, disorders and rare(ish) diseases and conditions increase it. If you have an extreme body structure (very small, very large, bodybuilder...) it also increases its value; "exotic animal," simply put.

I think it's just an arbitrary random quiz though. Not to mention I totally worth more than 5000$ ~;)
