in my game, only some of the AI factions work. the others don't do anything, which takes from the difficulty of play greatly. the rebels work however. can anyone help me?

what campaign difficulty are you playing on? EB recommends VH (and Medium for battle difficulty) as with VH the AI will be more active and expansionist. (hence not just sitting there).Quote:

Some of the AI factions can be very late starters - i.e. years go by before they start expanding.
Casse take absolutely ages before they move. So can Hayasdan. Bactria can often take many years, so can Pahlava and the Getai. KH and Macedon often get in a stalemate with each other, swapping Athens back and forth. Epiros takes Dalmatia but not much after that. Aedui and Arveni also stalemate each other quite often.
So don't expect every faction to expand quickly. Some won't expand at all.
and yet, weirdly, in this sauromatae campaign dacia are MASSIVE and have taken kallatis and ak-ink (sp?) already....shocker!Quote:

I think the biggest issue I have run into (in about 12 campaigns) is that the Arverni never manage to win against the Aedui.
but the thing is, are the faction's production supposed to stay the same all throughout the game also? for example, i was the carthaginians, and i had a spy in lusatania, and i NEVER saw any of their units move ONCE. how do u explain that? =p
