Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
"Upon using the mod, you agree to read more history."
:laugh4:
For some reason this struck me a funny when I went to install v1.1. Not that I have any choice in the matter as EB is one big history lesson in itself. :2thumbsup:
P.S. I know this is rather trivial but I couldn't help it...
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
Aye, that got quite a bit of a chuckle from my part as well. I've read quite a lot of history since getting EB four months ago though. Past four months have expanded my knowledge of the classical era a millionfold.
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
"Upon installing the mod you agree the creators hold no responsibility for bankruptcy due to spending all your disposable income on history books" would have been a more apt licence.

I have to say I entirely agree with that one.
Indeed, I've used EB as a way to find sources for papers...some of you may remember a thread a while back under a former name where I asked about the Sophists sent to India:-)
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
I never read that stuff.
Heh.
"Yeah, yeah, sure. Blah blah blah"

Don't use EB as a source, it's all baseless conjecture from what I hear!

Oh, I know. I mean, whoever heard of the Cyrmnu anyway? Or even Eiperos? Sheesh guys.
:laugh4:
Naw, but You guys had those great strabo quotes-and since I was working on a paper about trade during this exact time period...playing an EB game was a great way to procrastinate while not procrastinating.
Thanks guys. You saved my butt in that Hellenistic Kingdoms History class. This balloon is for everybody who worked on EB. Ever.
:balloon2:

I've stumbled across someone on German Wikipedia who is using it as a source...
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
ha, next theyll say germans didnt use phalanxes. whatever next?
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
aye,the modders were idiotic not to include the camel cataphracts and head hurlers :(
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
LOL, you should have a 'Professor/Teamer/Educational Instructor" section on your site with lesson plans.
Its not as crazy as it sounds. I knew a guy who's history teacher whored a computer lab for a few weeks and had his students play Civilization in groups to learn some weird combination of history and diplomacy. Of course he taught as they were playing as well. He probably got fired like all the innovative teachers though.
Re: Europa Barbarorum Licence Agreement
Haha, yea that had me laughing. When I installed EB it was after a day of trying to find a good video file converter that didnt have some hidden clause about buying the thing in the license agreement (Im not cheap.... ... I don't have a credit card, on principle!).
