Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Read the FAQ for reforms.
Editing edb is the same as it was. We cant change how this file works even if we wanted to do so.
My advise is use some decent text editor and not notepad.

I think the team went alil to far with the role playing crap it makes the game very restricted to YOUR way and style of playing not the communitys style of playing....
Well we do this mod so OUR style of paying is the style of playing we develop mod for. If you don't like it you can always mod it to YOUR style of playing or find other mod.
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..

So no ones going to help me?
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
How about learn English? Most people here speak English as their second language; they also posses this uncanny ability, to, you know, not make the mistakes you just pulled off in your first and third posts.

Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
russia almighty, it is completely unfair to criticise someone on their english skills. sass is perfectly understandable and it is certainly not his english skills that given him his lack of response. You are more than welcome to criticise him on his attitude (which is both confrontational, demanding and rude), but his language is adequate. If you cannot be helpful (ie teach him english) then don't post, insulting him is just not acceptable forum behaviour.

Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Right, like Chenkai11 said up there, try not using Notepad when editing the files. For some reason or another, Notepad makes some of the coding go awry if you save. I'd suggest Notepad++ as most others do. Free and easy. Much better than regular Notepad.
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Alright after some hard serching again i found the old post from last year....
My Questian now is Do the Directians still apply....Becouse the file that the text is in seems to look alot differnt then it did when the last build was out....Export_descr_buildings.tex. So Could someone tell me if what was told me to do in this thread is still what i should do?

Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
I'd like to second Notepad++ as a choice for editing text; It works extremely well across platforms (Anything is better than gedit in Solaris; Anyone who mentions Emacs is really bound to pick a fight with me ). Before I used it though, Crimson editor was my puritan choice when doing some hobby coding, a long, long time ago.
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Hmmmm I dont think i need that since i didnet have to use it the last time....
I followed the directians on that Link and old thred of a mod would scroll down and see if those still apply i did it the game didnet crash but the unit did not appper in the barracks:no:
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Can someone Please help me here and not ignore me?
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
It should work as described in thread you have posted link to.
I can only add that if you are using trivial script to start eb you need to edit edu that can be found in EB/sp edu backup folder and not the one in EB/Data.
Re: Babylonian Heavey Inf..
Which is probably what went wrong.
So yeah check that you have edited the sp game backup edu rather than the other file found in eb\data; as the trivial script (if you have it installed that is) will overwrite that file each time you play. The reason it does this is that it is part of the way it quickly enables you to change between single and multiplayer 'modes'.
