Welcome memoo,
Shogun Total War was certainly influenced by the old Shogun/Samurai Swords board game. I think that's what you're referring to.
Tnx, i have looked abit on the net and found out the other name is Samurai words, and u are also saying it :laugh4:, so the other name of this board game is Samurai Swords.
So it was Shogun Total Wars right? But also known as Samurai Swords?
It was called "Samurai Swords" or simply "Shogun".
"Shogun - Total War" is not the same. This is the name of the PC game by the Creative Assembly.
"Shogun" or "Samurai Swords" was used for one purpose only during games development round here: it comes with a lot (and I mean a lot!) of plastic samurai. They were really useful when it came to talking about tactics and battle formations!
Quite a few members of CA staff are keen boardgame players, btw. Most lunchtimes there is at least one boardgame in progress somewhere in the building. Recent favourites have included Acquire, St Petersburg, Colosseum, Race for the Galaxy and Torres.
How dare you play board games! You should all be playing 1v1 Campaigns! I don't care if you test it or not, I just want you playing them...so I can destroy you...
