BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Game Requirements: METWII 1.3 (No Kingdoms) With BC 2.02
Alright, First of all we're gonna vote on 2 options.
Either we have No Spies and Auto Resolve on.
(Upgrading barracks for better quality soldiers, better general qualities most important)
Or we have Spies + No Auto resolve on.
(AKA "Agent Wars")
They don't work if mixed with eachother.
(Due to the fact that some people, like me have learned how to destroy armies of over 1000, with just 50ish men. =p) (Also, Auto Resolve has been alittle bit more concentrated on fixing it up and being even It depends largely on quality of troops + General leading them.) Noting that you need to spend time preparing an army before sending it off)
List:
ERE
Turks
Armenia
Georgia
Jerusalem
Ayyubids
Abbasids
Seljuks
Kypchaks

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Ok, personally I would do whatever, although as on of the people who can NOT kill 1000 with 50 I might prefer auto resolve  :laugh4:
I want Armenia, as I have said. And don't really care about Agents
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
I'm fine with any options, I think they're all equally subject to manipulation.
I'm still up for the ERE.
:egypt:

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Count me in as Abbasids. I prefer the option where you can fight out the battles, if that includes agents, then that's fine (don't really care about the agents thing).
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
If you saw my fights in SS, I can do the same results, I've won some big battles before. 30 vs 1000 and lost 21 men. =x

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Ok, I'll go with the Ayyubids. Could prove an interesting challenge fighting the KoJ in an auto-resolve only game. :P
By the way, I vote in favour of "Auto-res + No spies". Haven't tried that more than as a substitute in the Britannia hotseat.
Also, will spies be totally off-limits if this option is chosen, or will they be allowed but forbidden in enemy cities?
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
This rule simply means the spy can not open the gates. but any thing else is aloud. (Such as counter spying against enemy assassins?) Or do you want to make a rule that enemy assassins can't hit family members?)
Any ways, I am very interested into a No Spy / Auto Resolve game myself. Not many of them around. They are normally always fun.
For me, I am interested into being the Persain Shahs... The One faction I have never really played
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
I'll take the KoJ and wat the hell, I vote no spies and autoresolve
barca, get ready!

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Holy cow. I have never played the Ayyu's in BC, nor any campaign ever with 2.02. I guess I better start practicing.
By the way, why can't we just hold hands and share the Holy Lands? You can have Tyre and Tripoli, it's ok with me. :clown:
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Alright good good.. So far, 2 in favor of Auto Res / No spies
1 in favor of Spies / fighting
Oh yesh, I would like to say if there is No spies, I would like to be Shahs, but if there is... I'm gonna give my good buddy some company as well, and me Marukia... *grin* XD

You must teach me how to do this. It could be very useful in fending off certain... German enemies...
:clown:
As for the game: I am nearing school with AP classes, so I can't really fully commit to this game. Put me down as a replacement or an extra in case you have spots open when you want to start.

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
How many players are we looking for?

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
IF this ever gets going, what will the difficulty of the AI be? In BC, I'm guessing a Very Hard-AI faction would be very hard to fight, if not impossible, using only auto-resolve.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
If it is going to be set on we fight battles, it is VH VH
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
I dropped KotF, so if you decide to play with agents, I'd be willing to take the Khwarezmshahian, the Sultanate of Ikonion or the Seljuqid Sultanate.
Has the AoR been corrected? I haven't played BC2 at all since the first big blunder with the very, very poor AoR thingy...
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
2.00 should of been a beta test. As it had a huge amount of errors, even a few of them of which said "Moors Watch Tower" and such... XD
They did a great job restoring all of the AORs, and even added a 3rd teir of AOE, so that your home land recruitment if superbly strong, It isn't as a steamrolling game like 1.05, it's more fun in my eyes.
We must decide to do Auto Resolve / no Spies, or Spies / No Auto Resolve.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
I will take Rajputs. No spies, autoresolve.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Nice to see your willing to join! =D
Civic is one of the very few that I invited. Also the one who started the first BC 2.02 game with No Spies / Auto Resolve.

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Hey is anyone else noticing what I am? I was playing a Armenian game with BC and I was seeing some freaky stuff..... For a while it kept looking like the size of armies got bigger when they were being besieged, (saw it from watching the Romans and Turks volley ball back and forth, the banner size would bump up to twice its size when the Romans attacked a city) I joined the war eventually, and besieged a Turkish city, it had a small garrison so I was not worried.
They sally with about twice as many troops, all of which have almost silver Chevrons. I was doing a auto resolve only game, so I just cursed and clicked the button. ended in a draw and the garrison left was about 100 (was 700, I only lost a few hundred as well. Good thing I had about 10 command stars.....). I forgot to put siege engines next turn.... So they sallied again, this time with 500 hundred troops..... Again silver chevrons. :inquisitive:
Am I on the wrong difficulty or something? do I have some weird glitch? Or is this just part of the mod?
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
AI has scripted settings... They will be hard for single player. They will make your life hell.
(Another fantastic reason why auto resolve / no spies is fun)... You can't easily blitz the map.

Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
OK then, just making sure I was not slowly losing my sanity.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Hello. Some might find my user name unusual, but at least 2 people know me her, Merlox and Civic, because.... I am Commander Ruunu from the TWC and I think I might join too. I'll take Ghorids who were my first online game faction and I would agree with both of the options, but I am beginning to tend towards no spies game, little more interesting.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Hello Commander Ruunu! as every one who doesn't know, Commander Ruunu is the moderater for the BC diplomacy thread, and a talented hotseat player to say at the least. I really want to get this game going, but to show signs of this is alive, is the first step.. XD
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Merlox I think you should update the faction list on OP with players.
-
Re: BC 2.02 Hotseat Signup. (Re-doing it / better organization.)
Can I make a suggestion?
In order to get this game started why don't we ask Commander Ruunu and CiviC (welcome to the Org guys! :beam:) to pick one of the remaining Western factions and start the game?
Then we can add factions in the near east if other players join...
This thread has been open for a while and it's looking like we're not getting new players in the near future..
