yes its been well established that the rtw engine is riddled with bugs and other such things, but to you what is the most irritating one?
personally mine is when missile units get depleted during battle and seem to gain all the ammo of their fallen comrades, so you'll have 5 or 8 slingers shooting at you indefinately. doesn't sound like much but gets really annoying in street battles as they end up causing noticeable losses D:
Probably everything except tactical warfare in comparison to Clausewitz.
Easy, if you pursue an enemy.
You want your light cavalry to be able to chase an enemy without you clicking how to do it.
when soldier don't obey me! usually when you group them.
town pathfinding and everything related to this.
And campaign map pathfinding too.
It seems to me that any AI missile unit retreating to the town square automatically gets a full ammunition refill when it gets there.Quote:

The thing i hate the most is when your troops get killed by friendly fire. Yes i know it's realistic but you'ld expect the archers shooting right behind your guys to have the common sense to aim a bit higher... and of course diplomacy. Sometimes it makes no sense...

yeah, if that was not happened, I could just charge all my horsearchers instantly all their way, and they will be insta rout everywhere..... seriously, without friendly fire, you could play extremely reckless with your HA, and they are still an invicible close combat (not too close) forces.... not to mention they allready carrying rapid firing sniper rifles in EBQuote:

Well i'm not an expert but i suppose that the secret lies in aiming at enemy-dense masses. An enemy contigent taking up 100 square meters is hardly difficult to hit... wikipedia (which is by no means an authority) states that during the battle of CarrhaeQuote:

Making a realistic campaign map is tad quite difficult...
personally i dont think the HA's are over powered when you consider that they would have spent their ENTIRE lives learning to shoot from a galloping horse. Genghis Khans mongols were said to be able to hit a bird in the head at a gallop. we dont have mogols in EB but i suspect the same principal applies.

otherwise, i actually do love this game, and I think its one of the best. however, they at CA could have made things a little more sensibly in regards to harcodes (I'm not saying have none, but I am calling for congruity: srsly, 500 units, but only 255 models?).
HA' are overpowered on a strategic level, since in reality there would have been social pressures for them to de-nomadise and settle once they conquered settled regions.
to me right now is this one. Units that were broken and fleeing then reforming BEHIND the red lines... So i cant end the battle lol even when they realize its lost.

unless of course, anyone here is a programmer and can make a game from scratch-only problem is the concept might break copywright laws, esp the DMCA. and from my personal experience, the DMCA is mentally like getting skull ****** with a salt coated eye gouger-especially if false (as it was in my case).
and what about the M2TW? couldn't you use some units animations already there, change skin (plus as Wolf said, no land ratio...) i only try to help, i know nothin' on modding!
ETW is by far the least moddable game in the series, you can't even make a new campaign map (or more correctly no one knows how too becuase CA provided zero help to modders).Quote:
