Well it's simple... Click on an army led by a Family member, click the bulding button, in the low right corner i think - you can choose to build a fort or a watchtower

And as an added bonus, they are free in EB, though watchtowers are not
too bad, that was actually a well exploited exploit in the campaign, 1 fort filled with almost depleted pantodapoi placed on the caucasus gap will hold Hayasdan for attacking my pontos empire almost forever :devil:Quote:

Even with only one unit of them in a fort you create a diversion for the AS to screw around with instead of besieging your capital. With a whole stack of them, as Cute Wolf mentioned, you can prevent them from attacking from that direction entirely unless they bring a full stack of their own. Speaking of watchtowers, is anyone else annoyed by the fact that they cannot be destroyed? I'm sure there is a command to remove them or something i do not know of, but i can't count the number of times i wanted to build a fort in a nice strategic position, only to be denied by an invincible watchtower occupying that space on the grid.Quote:
