Lists have all kinds of purpose. Some are made to remember stuff, other lists are made so you don't
forget the order in which to do things. There is also a special kind of list though, and this
is the kind of list I'm talking about; it's made so you forget the things you have written on it.
Every week my girl and I, would sit down and write down things we would wish to forget on a piece of
paper and then we put it in an envelope. All the things written down were now banned from thought
and we would soon forget about them. Atleast that was the plan. We put the envelope in a metal safebox with a opening on top, which was originally intended to safeguard banknotes. We had thrown away the key so we could not open the box again whenever we wanted to. This way, we believed, we didn't have to tell each other everything without keeping secrets from one another. By god, we were naive!

'Don't be frightened brothers,' I said to those who had gathered close around me: 'for I am the descendent of Apollo, messenger of the gods. And kin to all those great men who have come before me to bear the burden of our family. We don't break easily!'
A bigger crowd had gathered around us and they swore and screamed the most horrible things. But none dared to come closer to touch us or even throw something. Men of the devil are still unearthly men indeed and they are feared for it.
'Matt,' I said to one of my closest friends: 'don't look at them with so much hatred and contempt. Don't think that we are better than them. We are all crucified to the cross of our beliefs and from such a narrow vantage point, who can say what is real?'
