So, I was called a slut?

First off, I think this requires some back-story. I recently started working at a movie theater by my house, and it's pretty great. 2nd day working there one of my fairly good-looking co-workers asked me out, so I said yes and we made out and she drove me home. I may have given the impression that we were henceforth dating. That was Monday. We'll call her Red. Then yesterday (Tuesday, in case your time-zone is in some place that would change that), I asked a different, far hotter co-worker (who will be called Green) if she wanted to see Conan with me after work. I intended this to be just as friends.

Well, somewhere along the way, we had a really long deep talk about her and all her problems and what not, and she obviously took a liking to me just before we went into the movie. We came out and now the talk of the whole theater is how we were making out. Which is fine.

Buuuuuut, I texted Red (seeing as she doesn't work at all this week and I have no way of talking face-to-face), and said, very politely and gently, that we weren't gonna work out. She replied "I understand. Have fun with Green :)". Seeing as how I know she doesn't have the phone numbers of anyone who worked there that night, and she said this only 10 minutes after we left the theater, I asked how she knew already. Red told me that

"I went to the theater after work (at a pizza place) and everyone was talking about how you're a slut."


So. I'm not entirely sure if she's being bitter, insulting me, making a joke, or what. What do you guys think? I don't know what to make of it

Only girls can be sluts.

In my experience getting involved with people you work with can only lead to complications, whether you date one or all of them.

Dont worry. During your lifetime you will very regularly fail to make sense of what chicks say to you. This, and I cannot emphasise this enough, is not your fault.

You are going to have trouble making sense outta chicks at least 5 days out of each and every month...

Never date where you have to go everyday. If things don't work out you're stuck with a lot of unpleasantness.

the girl is insulting you dimwit how is that not clear. while society may laud your efforts she doesn't appreciate it. Nobody wants to be called a slut and being a man slut is not a positive in society (A man can hook up in ways and with enough people that it becomes a negative even in fellow mens eyes)

1. Girl at his workplace, Red, asks PI out, and clearly wants to have a go at a relationship. PI agrees.
2. PI then almost immediately goes behind Red's back and propositions Green, as Green is more physically attractive than Red. Green accepts.
3. Red finds out about this, presumably by talking to workmates who saw PI carry out step two. PI then sends a text to Red, who passive-aggressively tells him that she's hurt by this.
4. PI is confused and asks a video game forum for help on understanding these crazy chicks.
