Auto Manage vs Manage All Settlements
I always thought that turning on the 'Auto Manage' option when starting your campaign is fairly pointless, because why let the AI manage settlements without gouvernors if I can do it myself?
Is there a catch to it? I see some people leave it on anyways?
Re: Auto Manage vs Manage All Settlements
As the quequed buildings do not cost any money in advance, there is not much point in auto manage.
You can queque up tasks for 10-20 rounds and focus on the fighting.
Re: Auto Manage vs Manage All Settlements
Yes , but only fighting is pretty boring. Managing you empire is great , especially if you play with your homeland faction ;)
Re: Auto Manage vs Manage All Settlements
I never auto manage. Half the fun of the game, for me anyway, is to manage my settlements and provide an income for my military machines and future conquest.
Re: Auto Manage vs Manage All Settlements
I pretty much agree with everyone as well, I wouldn't play a stratergy game if I didn't like the stratergy points and auto manage is just down to damn luck. Pretty much the reason I hate naval warfare, because it's like auto relolve battles, no stratergy at all and a lot of luck. If I wanted to roll dice I'd play risk.
