Unbelievable. Inflated ego and stupidity don't go so well together.

Yes, absolutely. His apology to Penny Arcade reads like he is just sorry that he chose a fight with someone he couldn't beat, not like he is truly sorry about what he did.
The controller gizmos are innocent though.

Spot on.
It is such a shame that the company picked this man to do their PR, apparently in complete ignorance of his personality (though some of the comments from the executives hint that they may have had some inkling). The controller seems really good and, as said, would be a great thing for some disabled kids.

If I treated one of my customers that way I would be fired in no time, and I make like 8 bucks an hour. What a joke.

He did get fired. And harassed. And his family, too, apparently. And I'm pretty sure he won't get a PR job again anytime soon. Unless someone is completely oblivious to the whole thing perhaps.
Re: Shooting Yourself in the Foot with a Rocket Launcher
That's too bad about the harassment, especially of his family, but good to hear he got fired.

Yes, that's the internet, or vigilantism, and most likely the reason it's illegal, because the response is often neither proportional nor fair or just in any way...
I hope at least the guy will learn something from this.

Those evil businesses thinking they can bend over customers as per usual. At least this one more down in the gutter where they belong.

The only word about harassment I've seen is from the PR guy himself, whose veracity at this point is questionable at best.
