There is a major problem here with different driving cultures interacting and misunderstanding each other - Indians, Europeans, and Arabs all have very different approaches to what is safe, plus in the case of the Emiratis there's a lot of big man syndrome going on, so many of them will never willingly give way, be overtaken, be forced to slow down. In fairness the police almost invariably blame the driver behind for driving too close if you rear end someone. Unless the person behind is Emirati, in which case it's clearly the fault of whoever they hit.
