Help!!!!!!!!
Ok, here's the lowdown. I went out and purchased Rome: TW a few days ago. I installed it, and it runs fine, for about 5-10 min :furious3: . It then freezes on me. I've checked the requirements on it, and my computer can handle it, or so it would seem :help: . If any one has any suggestions, plz let me know, this is hindering me from excuiting my plan for taking over the world ~D

Re: Help!!!!!!!!
Hard to say w/o any system specs or history of how your system performs.
All I can think of from that description is: do you have appropriate drivers? do you have the proper version of dx9? what (if anything) do you run in the background...virus scanner/update programs/fax...etc.

Re: Help!!!!!!!!
If you have the Demo installed delete it and then reinstall Rome:TW. I have read in other posts that the Demo version can cause problems. Not sure if it's true, but worth a shot.

Re: Help!!!!!!!!
Yo Narib, Welcome to the ORg, do you have an FX 5600 ? these have issues with heat like many other graphics cards, the patch makes no differance AFAIK..

Re: Help!!!!!!!!
G'day Narib!
My experience with lock ups is that they are usually caused by one of 3 things...
1-System deficiencies...RAM, sound or graphics cards...update the drivers if possible!
2-Temperature issues...are you overclocked?
3-Software conflicts...virus software and other applications running in the background.
Try posting your DXDiag and system specs...here be geeks ~D

Re: Help!!!!!!!!
If you are running xp sp2, then you MUST update your drivers to play.
I found this out the hard way with several other games. I know you need Nvidia 61.53 but i'm not sure about ati....
