so hard to call.. changes from mood to mood.. but right now, i'd probably say the remains of the day. probably.
On the Waterfront
Movies like food depends on what I crave for.
Ladyhawke... despite the music and weapon quality is essentially the best rpg like movie that is more about personal conflict then epic... milk chocolate.
Clint Eastwood movies... more gritty yet still pure entertainment... more like a hamburger. Where most hollywood movies are candy floss.
Lord of the Rings... The first one is close to the book and then they diverge more so as they go on... all you can eat fried chicken.
Kuraswawa's films ... very well done... steak medium rare with a bit of blood leaking out now and then.
I watch my films for entertainment not hardcore facts...
'the usual suspects'
in the back of my mind during the whole movie, it was bothering me that there was a british lawyer with a japnese name and an indian accent. and the ending caught me completely by suprise. the only time i was completely bamboozeled by a film.
reservior dogs

Which Henry V do you mean? The Lawrence Olivier one or the Branaugh one? They are both really good even though the prior is much much older(1944, in color!).
Festen.
Tis a choice between
The Shawshank Redemption
Pulp Fiction
The Ususal Suspects
either pulp fiction or fight club
It's hard - but think I would put in the alien trilogy
I liked both - however the Branaugh one if I remember correctly is done more like a play then the Lawrence Olivier filmQuote:

Forrest Gump
What's wrong with you people? ~;)
Shrek.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. ~D
You also gotta love the LOTR's trilogy.
Dr Strangelove
I can't believe nobody's mentioned Zardoz. Or Hawk the Slayer. You guys are skipping right over the classics.
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
I much prefer the one with Branagh. The version with Olivier was cut to death. All the good stuff was cut down to single phrases. Bleah!Quote:

Zardoz? Where all the fairy people run around to happy music, smiling as they slit their throats with razor blades? :dizzy2:Quote:

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
A true classic and my favorite comedy of all time. Arsenic and Old Lace is right up there along with Some like it Hot. And yes their all black and white.Quote:
Dr Strangelove
the good, the bad, and the ugly is a fantastic movie. the definitive spaghetti western, and undoubtedly one of the best westerns ever.
Trainspotting.
Although, (like usual) the book is about ten times better.
