How to change starting income of regions

i cannot find this...how does one edit the amounts of the types of income of a settlement/region?, what file?
i'm not so fond of this new total war game but there are interesting prospects and differences.
i want to see how the campaigns do step by step with mod here mod there, figured i'd simply increase income in all regions in various levels and see how they all react through the years...
please help.

and yes...ya know, tested scythians and they work too yet, when starting and beyond, when i move my cursor too far north, say beyond and to view Campus Sarmatae (northeastern russian/asia) all settlement and army/agent pieces go blank and the map loses texture, this is corrected by simply pausing for a second and scrolling back south,
interesting glitch, has anyone else seen this and is it simply a video card glitch or what, and note i have only edited so far the ability to enable all factions...

It's more like a video card problem.

If I'm not mistaken, you cannot modify the income. But you can add resources to the province, to make the income higher. Check the Scriptorium for the tutorial.

But you can modify the starting money of the factions. Simply edit the descr_strat.txt file.

You can change the farm level, which controls the income from agriculture. It is the last number in each region (in blue here), as shown in descr_regions.

In this way the income from farms in Baetica will be much higher than in Noricum, but I don't know how much.
Then you have the tradable goods. There is no trade in Noricum, but there are three goods in Baetica (olive_oil, wine, copper). The value of these goods (in red here) is set in descr_sm_resources.

The value of wine is higher than that of olive_oil, but you can change this.
Another method to change initial income in a given region is to put there more income buildings (farms, mines, market) in descr_strat.

what about the other #? between the farm income and the trade ability stuff?
the 2nd to last entry? what does this represent?

OK, this is the meaning (as fas as I know)

Baetica = region
Corduba = settlement
armenia = culture
Turdetanos = rebel faction
17 13 198 = code of colors (red green blue) of the region in map_regions.tga
olive_oil, wine, copper, iberians, dogs, pigs = resources
5 = related with victory conditions (not used)
13 = farming level income

ok, cool, thanx. that all makes sense so far.

Be wary, the base farm level is NOT just farm income, it is also population growth. If you up that number, you also up the population growth, sometimes to insane levels.

yeah, that kinda seems to be the case sorta, noticed odd population stuff, but nothing too crazy yet, havent tried many big #s yet for it...i dont know, i'll play around with the #s more and see what happens over time...
