Re: Samurai Mod Mini Contest
Samurai Lords - Horselands Campaign
Today Sunday 4/23/2006 at 18:00 GMT (7 pm BST UK – 2 pm EDT US).
Requires MTW/VI 2.01 and STW_Mod_BETA5 with samuraiwars_v10b stats. All Battles played at 10k, with no upgrades, all realism settings on, default unit size, with no time limit. Individual armys are restricted to a maximum of 4 of the same unit, and corner camping is expressly prohibited. No specified Attacker/Defender roles, and no private agreements on rules are allowed.
The map for all Battles fought in today’s Competition is STW_ob horselands wle from the STWmaps pack.
Samurai Lords is an eight player Mini Competition.
1. A random draw pairs the eight players in four 1v1 single Battle Matches.
The winner of that Battle becomes a Lord, and the looser their Retainer for the next Match.
2. A second random draw pairs the four two-player Teams in two 2v2 single Battle Matches.
The Lord of the winning Team becomes more powerful now, gaining two more Retainers for the next Match.
3. The Final Match pits the two reigning Lord’s Teams against each other, in a single 4v4 Battle.
The Lord of the winning Team will then be honoured with the title Supreme Lord of the Competition.
All are welcome. If we get more or less than eight players, we will figure out something.
Please come early as there are always delays, and we do want to get as much of the Horselands Campaign completed today as we can. And please understand that this particular Contest may have to continued next Sunday if we run out of available time for any of our Contestants.
Contact Hunter Tomisama in the foyer to officially sign-in for this Competition.
:charge:
Thanks!
P.S. I will be asking you if you can host when you sign-in. But that is not a requirement to participate. Just need to know to pair opponents for the 1v1 phase

First attempt at showing competition progress by map scoring.
Just a sample, and still under developed, but thought I’d put it up anyway

Re: Samurai Mod Mini Contest
Congratulations Lord BuuKenshin, Supreme Lord of the Samurai Warlords Horselands Campaign.
With his loyal Retainers TosaInu and Tempiic, and last minute Ronin replacement Taisho Saint-Cain, Lord Buu claimed his 4v4 victory in just over 13 minutes.
What a shock for the members of the other Team, and a lesson they will they will not soon forget.
Then it was upwards and onwards with King George joining the mix. And in the many 2v2 and 3v3 battles that followed, a great time was had by all

OMG!!! MY VERY OWN KATANA :: bows ::
Thankyou Tomi for hosting the tournament It was a great honor to participate and fight against or alongside so many admirable Samurai, such as yourself :2thumbsup: . Please let me know if you will host a similar event again.
Also a big well done to my good friend and honorable opponent MizuYuuki, and CBR for creating such a great mod.
I dearly hope that the future of total war will allow oppotunities for you acomplish such things again, Perhaps even the opportunity for us (Mizus and VDM) to work together in creating a mod or enhancement for the multiplayer community.

Was actually just making a preliminary asking, to test the waters. And was thinking of posting Mini Contest II thread ( for Kawanakajima) announcing for either Saturday or Sunday, sometime in the next two weeks.
This weekend is difficult for many US folks, as Sunday is Mothers Day here.

Mother's day, I see.
Waited for over an hour, the Mizus were playing DUX.
