modding unit stats and saves
I want to modd some basic things in RTW, just to get the hang on modding before I try bigger things.
I'm going to try and slow the firing rate of arrow towers in large stone walls and reduce the attack value of cavalry to start.
Now could I then load up a save game made with vanilla RTW in the new modded version?
Also when you make an unplayable faction playable in the Imperial Campaign (not senate or rebels), it doesn't give you any victory conditions when you get to the screen where you choose your faction, do I have to set the victory conditions myself?
Re: modding unit stats and saves
Those victory conditions are there, even though they dont show. Yes, you can load up the saved game with the updated stats.
Re: modding unit stats and saves
i think the default victory condition is take rome +50 provinces... you can change all the victory conditions in imperial_campaign/descr_win_conditions

Thanks GMM, I want to get the hang of modding RTW before I get to MTW2.
