Rome: Total War had a clear objective.
Follows the orders of the Senate which ultimately lead to civil war with the other 2 factions, and become emperor of Rome.
Is there a similar storyline in Medieval 2, or is it simply conquering the world.

There's no ultimate goal per se like there was in RTW when playing as a Roman faction... just divide and conquer! Do we need any more??!?!?! :charge:
One of the great things about open ended games like this is that once you've got used to the game and good at it - you can start role-playing factions and make your own goals. Like starting as the Turks and takin out the pope and then converting the Britih Isles to Islam.
Survive and, if possible, prosper?
For most factions it is 45 provinces plus the holy lands for the Grand campaign is it not?
Slaughter the english and conquer the entire world mwhahahahahaha! hihi :laugh4:
Just joking, doesn't have any real hatred for our old enemies :shakehands:
The "official " goal is holding 45 provinces including "special" ones vaying by faction, such as Rome or Jerusalem
This thread makes me miss Glorious Achievements.
I'll see you on the battlefield, Mr Froggy ~DQuote:
