Trouble putting Alexander units into RTW
Hi everyone,
I'm making a new team in RTW, and have copied info (from export_descr_unit, descr_model_battle etc) from Alexander to the main Rome file. For some reason these units now only work if I give them the mercenary_unit description in export_descr_unit. If I leave this out I get a CTD at the battle load screen.
I've checked all the usual stuff - making sure they're available to the right faction etc. I've added units from Barbarian Invasion and these have worked fine without having to be described as mercenary_unit, but for some reason the ones from Alexander do. This seems pretty strange to me, as some of the units I'm adding aren't even mercenaries in Alexander. It isn't a problem for single battles but means you can't build them in the campaign. Can anyone help me out, please?

Did you give the right factions their own textures and sprites in DMB yet?

This all works fine if I keep the mercenary_unit description in EDU, but I don't really want to. I don't think I've missed anything.

Try disabling the sprite line, or making new sprites with the RTW engine. For some reason Alex sprites often don't work with the RTW engine.

I wonder why it mattered whether the unit was mercenary or not when I left the line in though. Doesn't seem to make much sense. Oh well.
