I believe one of the team members said there would be governors available for the empire as it was in Caesar's time, excluding Italy.

In the future there will be others like Noricum, Cappadocia, etc.
wow thats amazing. but could you be a bit specific. for example if u want to be governer of sicily then u'll have to send your propraetor, proconsular, rector to syracuse. sardina et corsica i think he has to go to karali? what about the other provinces? i think this should be included in the faq otherwise the player won't know where to go.

thanks for the reply ice. i loved playing the romans before and now i am just crazy about them. but figuring out what provinces give what traits is going to be a prob. i've also noticed that you get an axcillary for the province that you govern but sometimes the character has 8 axcillaries stacked so u'll probably have to give away some of those axc to other characters. would it be a big problem to limit the number of axc a character could get to maybe lets say 6. that way u'll have two spare axc to use for the provinces. its just a suggestion i know its not very practical specially that the other factions don't get province specifec axc, but its just a suggestion.
well if anyone has any info about what other provinces give the provincial governer traits please post here. so far i've figured out syracuse (sicily), karali (corsica and sardina), carthage (old africa) and am still looking for the others :)

I cant rememeber the names of all the provinces but if you look at a map of the roman republic its pretty easy to tell what territories you need to constitute a provincia.

Hello there,
I noted that one has to have at least level 3 gov in the respective provinces. In my game, Syrakuse had a gov4, the other ones gov2 and gov3, nothing happened ... I waited. As I waited further, 'Corsica et Sardinia' happened (gov2 & gov3). Now I changed Syrakuse to gov2, et voilà: 'Sicilia' happened to me.

Gallia Cisaplina is working. You receive the title in Bononia, I believe.
How sure are that that list is complete? Have you looked trough some files that EB has changed?
looks complete to me. others may be added in 1.1 or may just wait for EBII.
What do these ancillaries actually do? Do they enlarge the chance of getting certain traits?
the ancilliary is the trigger which grants your character the 'prconsul' 'propraetor' or 'rector' trait, depending on his rank. These traits grant benefits to governing the province while the governor remains within his province.
i got the information from the export_descr_ancillaries text file located in the EB folder. it should be complete.
thanks for the insight Barrabas, technically you should be able to recieve the governor of Gallia Cisalpina in either Patavium, Bononia or Segesta i was unsuccessful in acquiring the trait in my current campaign. i'll try to give it another shot today. i'am also having the same problem with the governor of Achaea. anyways, the provincial governor is a great addition something that i used to roleplay on my own and i am extremly delighted that the EB team included this feature. it makes the experience 100% genuine

cuz it sure does take a lot of time to get the Governor of Asia and Governor of Achaea. it took only a few turns to get the Governor of Sicily.

IIRC it was distinguished this way on the EB building map as shorthand to refer to that, but it's not supposed to represent a legitimate form of government beyond a temporary military crackdown and imposition of order after conquest.
